It's not rocket science but that's also the beauty of this book! Simple tips and tricks for helping you develop better habits and stick with them! I really liked the idea of habit stacking: stack a habit after another thing you always do by habit! Overall enjoyed it but didn't change my life! I could see it being a book that you could read again and get additional learnings out of it!

Loved this! For sure things you intuitively know, but great to be distilled and reinforced into one book. Things that resonated strongly: + Small habits compound over time that allow you to reach goals + Just showing up to do a habit, even if you don’t do as much as you’d like, is better than nothing and reinforces it in ‘system II’ thinking (habitual that you don’t need to think through) + One time actions that can significantly reinforce a habit - such as deleting time wasting apps (productivity), set up auto-pay (finances), get a dog (happiness) + Habit chaining can help build a habit (I.e., after you do X easy habit, do Y new habit) + Fall in love with boredom - reaching a goal will inevitably be boring Let’s 👏 go 👏 February 👏

Maybe I would be more sold on the book if I was actually trying to change my habits at the time of reading.. not a bad read - maybe I just wasn’t motivated 😅
