One of my favourite books. It challenges and shows you the unfairness of power dynamics. It’s written so beautifully and has great sensory text as well as imagery which makes it a perfect summer read.

There’s a bitterness to this. A beautiful and tragic summer love between Elio and Oliver. Everything from the start to the finish held meaning and while the ending was expected, you’re left with a gaping hole and wishful thinking of what could’ve been.

I cried reading this book. It is a very saddening story about two men (or rather a man and a boy) who love each other but can’t get their love of their life. It is a love story but a sad one.

A slow start, but the other half of the book is so worth it. I cried my eyes out at the end.

All I can say about this book is: absoloutly stunning! Beyond the exciting and engaging story, the writing of Andre Aciman is simply amazing. One of the best books I’ve ever read.
