About the book

image4.6/5.0

See the Grishaverse come to life on screen with Shadow and Bone, now a Netflix original series. The stunning sequel to SIX OF CROWS, this is GAME OF THRONES meets OCEAN'S ELEVEN in a fantasy epic from the number one New York Times bestselling author Leigh Bardugo. Welcome to the world of the Grisha. Kaz Brekker and his crew of deadly outcasts have just pulled off a heist so daring even they didn't think they'd survive. But instead of divvying up a fat reward, they're right back to fighting for their lives. Double-crossed and badly weakened, the crew is low on resources, allies, and hope. As powerful forces from around the world descend on Ketterdam to root out the secrets of the dangerous drug known as jurda parem, old rivals and new enemies emerge to challenge Kaz's cunning and test the team's fragile loyalties. A war will be waged on the city's dark and twisting streets - a battle for revenge and redemption that will decide the fate of the Grisha world. As gripping, sweeping and memorable as the Grisha trilogy - SHADOW AND BONE, SIEGE AND STORM and RUIN AND RISING - this novel is perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas, Laini Taylor, Kristin Cashore and GAME OF THRONES. Winner of the Teen Choice Book Award for Book of the Year.

This was a fantastic book and a fantastic last book to this short series. I did not cry, but that may have been because I knew what was going to happen (spoiled myself) or because I was in the middle of class.

Yeah…heartbroken. Absolutely heartbroken. THE KANEJ ENDING IM IN TEARS plot was a little boring but characters made it friggin worth it 😌

I would give it a 10 but I suffered, and for what? 😐 That being said, even though it was set on an obviously imaginary world, the way their problems can be put in real life, is incredible. Quite hyped to read the trilogy and then the last duology; hopefully J get the books. Actually it does deserve a 10/10 🤭 But as Jack Edrwards said “Did I end the book or the book ended me?”

I preferred SOC but it was an incredibly enjoyable read nonetheless. I got so attached to the characters I felt empty after finishing this duology

Wow! I prefer Six of Crows but this book is still really good! The plot twists shocked me, there were bits where I literally laughed out loud, there were bits where I felt like crying and there were bits that made me so happy for the characters. I don't have much else to say other than this series is definitely one I recommend, I don't think I have read much that is this good.

Six of crow was a lot better. Sorry for offending anyone but this book was alright. I didn’t really enjoy it.

I rated this the same as the first book but I did enjoy this slightly more. There’s more character development which I loved and my only complaint is I wish there was more!

Deadass the best book I’ve read in a long time. Such an amazing author and strong female characters even if they aren’t the “lead” . Sobbed for so long after this duology and you are left wanting so much more! Definitely recommend particularly if you were in a reading slump like myself

This was better than six of crows, in my opinion. My favourite part was the characters and getting to know them more
