The tragic story of the complex bond between two migrant laborers in Central California. They are George Milton and Lennie Small, itinerant ranch hands who dream of one day owning a small farm. Good book but found it fairly difficult to read for the portrayal of the disabled character and slave in the context of a school classroom of 14 year olds. Its such a serious topic that i think that age couldnt really appreciate. That said it is a very good piece of fiction, just not for me.

a good read that includes of many topics and subthemes to explore & characters to break down and analyse. despite being written and set in the 1930’s, i would argue that it touches on pressing issues that are still very relevant in today’s society. extensive use of representation done by steinbeck

Surprisingly a good read. Story wasn’t boring and pretty interesting. Character dynamics were decent, but Lenny’s portrayal of mental illness/neuro-divergence was pitiful

En utrolig sød og rørende novelle der er godt skrevet, og som vel dybest set handler om hvad et menneske er på godt og ondt. Man bliver meget følelsesmæssigt engageret og samtidig er historien rørende. En absolut klassiker og letlæselig.
