Brilliant read. Books are much better than movies and this case is no exception. Although I have nothing against the movie, it is a good watch, but the book is certainly much better. John green certainly shows the non-pity life both the characters lead yet suffering from a disease which might have no cure. Loved John's writing style, very fluent, not showing too much grief yet makes the readers cry from time to time. A must read for sure.

I read this book when I was younger, equal parts beautiful and painful. John Green really is an incredible writer.

Good book, but I would never re-read this book. I’m more mature

Nothing special and really overhyped. It was pretty nicely written but the story wasn't there for me. Green has written better books

I remember tearing up at 13. Don’t know if it’s because it truly made me sad or because I felt like I had to

I don't really remember much, because I read this book around year 2015. But I do remember loving the book more than the adaptation. So, an 8 for me!

So sad, so sad! I can’t help it but pity the characters all the time. Dear John Green, the version in Spanish does not do justice to your beautiful writing. I probably didn’t enjoy it as much because of that.

I made the mistake of watching the film before reading the book, so I had high expectations when going into this book, and most of them were met! It had me crying throughout more than the film did. It’s a very sweet and heartwarming story of two people falling in love when the clock is slowly ticking.

A wonderful story with loveable characters. Pulls at your heart strings massively.

I read it because my cousin gave it to me, but actually it's not my cup of tea. Some scenes touched my heart and made me cry.

It was great for it's time, but it definitely has not aged well

For me it fell too cliched in it's Nicholas Sparks vive. I knew who was going to die at the end. And while John Green was inspired by a real girl with this disease to write it, in the end it became another trope-filled story that romantizises and idealizes terminal illness for the inspiration of able-bodied, healthy people.

I love that book. I read so many times and I cried some. I love reading more deeper to know what happened.

I was not ready for the way it ended. I cried for so long. It was such a sweet and warm read. The ending left me heartbroken. Great salute to author, he wrote and expressed so beautifully. This was a emotional roller coaster read.

At first I was taken aback by the vulgar language, since I’m not used to that kind of vocabulary in books, but once I was able to ignore it, it was a nice read. Overall it was quite emotional and had me crying by the end. Moreover, it was quite realistic and believable. John Green’s books never fail to entertain me

Overrated for me tbh. Was “the book everyones talking about” when i read it. Well written and good characters, just not for me really. Have read better in this genre.

In my opinion, this book is for younger kids or less mature teens. The Fault in Our Stars was pretty much the worst book I’ve ever read.
