Probably the Star Wars film with the most memes to spawn from it, but that just makes this even more lovable in my eyes. This is one I’ve been dying to rewatch and I’m so glad to have seen it again. There is so much Jedi lore addressed here and we get larger connections between characters (Yoda trained Dooku, Dooku trained Qui-Gon, Qui-Gon trained Obi-Wan, and finally, Obi-Wan trained Anakin). I recently listened to the audiobook of the Legends novel Shatterpoint by Matthew Stover, so I was extremely invested in Mace Windu anytime he was around. That novel makes the character even more interesting and adds a lot of depth to the minimal screen time he has in this film. This film gets a lot of hate, some of which I understand; however, the action, politics, and romance are all realistic factors that we also experience in our world. Excited to rewatch Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) with my friends next! For some, it’ll be their first time seeing it!

Convoluted and long-winded, this movie is riddled with nonsensical decisions and reactions, but still there is some fun to be had, with somersaulting Yoda and Padme’s rocking outfits at the forefront.

Story is ok, but it does not deserve a 6 because: 1) after a “meh” episode 1, I expected the team to improve their storytelling and tension throughout the movie, 2) I can’t believe that CGI can get worse as time goes by. Seriously, it’s like watching a cartoon. Disappointed

Really badly let down by the central love story, and by proxy the script and acting . Jar jar Binks great. All that said, a vital bit of story telling.

Jebus Christ.

Good 🤩 I’m a little confused, since Anakin was so cute in episode 1 and now he’s more acting like a little b1tch 🙃
