A holiday favourite for generations... George Bailey has spent his entire life giving to the people of Bedford Falls. All that prevents rich skinflint Mr. Potter from taking over the entire town is George's modest building and loan company. But on Christmas Eve the business's $8,000 is lost and George's troubles begin.

A Christmas feel-good classic. Its Jimmy Stewart what could go wrong.

It shocked my when I discovered that this was a flop until the last few decades. Capraesque seems to have become a term to describe happy hour lucky films but they’re anything but. Everything might end up ok in the end but this follows some pretty dark struggles from the underdog and some really nasty bad guys.
