Loving One

I had watched it earlier and rated it an 8 but watching it again today revised it just because the one scene in which DeNiro and Al Pacino come face to face and talk shows the mettle of the two greats ... simple dialogues but what powerful delivery and expressions. Nothing over the top and depicts complete respect for each other.... Hats Off!

great film, brilliant performances from both pacino and de niro. didn’t loose intrest once, despite the lengthiness of the film. the shoot out scene was amazing, and extremely well filmed. would recommend i found it interesting how you could feel this bond between the two main characters, despite them being ultimately against each other, that was very well demonstrated in the final scene. the tension between pacino and de niro’s character was unreal, even though they only really met around twice

This is one of my favorite films of all time. I love the sense of real-world environment during the action scenes. The action scenes are very well executed with practical effects and grounded in reality. The diner scene between Deniro and Al Pacino is probably one of the best scenes of dialog in Cinematic History. You can feel the tension between the two characters. The movie is over 3 hours long, but it goes by rather quickly all things considered due to the amazing acting and screen presence from Deniro, Al Pacino, Val Kilmer, Jon Voight, Tom Sizemore, and that last shootout in the streets of LA, doesn't hurt to keep you hooked. My only problem with the film was the ending. I have always believed that it was out of character for McCauley to go back. He was too disciplined.
