Love a good sci fi, this was good but not great. I can't deny the entertainment value but a huge number of plot holes and scenes that just don't make sense such as supposed highly educated scientists taking zero precautions around what are clearly hostile creatures. Ignore the issues though and it's good entertainment.

This film surprised me with how good it was, however it simply doesn’t feel like it should be included within the Alien franchise. There isn’t a single Xenomorph present, so this simply feels like a sci-fo horror film. I mean, c’mon, it doesn’t even have the word “Alien” in the title.
The action was good and I liked more characters in this one (Ripley was the only one I cared about in the originals). Particularly David (Michael Fassbender), Janek (Idris Elba), and Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace). There acting is what truly carried this film for me, otherwise, I would’ve given this a lower score.

“Alien” franchise timeline is complicated but thanks to Ridley Scott finally we know where to start. This movie is the starting point of the franchise followed by “Alien: Convenant” and leading us to the first Alien movie from 1979 ✌🏻

One of the amazing space sci-fi movie. It actually connects a dot and leaves viewers to wanting to need more in future.
Super disappointing the first watch...but now think it's probably the third best Alien film
