A John Hughes classic. I think everybody when they saw this film as a kid wanted to be Ferris Bueller.
What makes this movie phenomenal is the casting and the soundtrack. Matthew Broderick as Ferris does a great job at being likable and not coming off as a complete a..hole. Alan Ruck as Cameron does a great job at playing a complex and complicated character. Mia Sara, Jeffery Jones, and Jennifer Grey are also great. And who can forget Ben Stein as a professor. I am pretty sure the reason everyone finds it funny is because we have all had a professor like him, jajajajajaja. Finally, I thought Charlie Sheen's cameo was awesome.
Overall the movie is great and they do a great job at balancing the romance, the comedy, and some of the more serious themes that I didn't quite understand when I first saw it as a child.
And the soundtrack is awesome, even though an official soundtrack CD was never released at the time of the movie, but you can still find plenty of playlists online that have aggregated all the individual songs.
A classic movie that has held up well and a must-see.

I was dissapointed by this movie - apparently a classic - nice scenes of chicago - maybe it’s just a bit dated? My mum and dad love it?
