1984 . Horror . 1h 31m
Teenagers in a small town are dropping like flies, apparently in the grip of mass hysteria causing their suicides. A cop's daughter, Nancy Thompson, traces the cause to child molester Fred Krueger, who was burned alive by angry parents many years before. Krueger has now come back in the dreams of his killers' children, claiming their lives as his revenge. Nancy and her boyfriend, Glen, must devise a plan to lure the monster out of the realm of nightmares and into the real world...

Got to go see this before lockdown 2 kicked off in the UK in late October so we got to see it in a cinema, a real horror classic that had so much that you just don’t see any more such as the incredible synth songs in the soundtrack that really just hit different. A really cool concept that must’ve been so much more unique before I had heard about it in popular culture (or more accurately, the simpsons treehouse of horror episode). Held up a lot better than I expected it would but I won’t lie I’ve taken off some of my rating for that shot of Freddy with long arms, it looks absolutely terrible.
