Luca himself is an immediately loveable hero, thanks both to Tremblay's eager and earnest voicework and to the soft, blobby, Aardman-esque character design. And despite the supernatural metamorphoses, his adventures are recognisable enough to make you nostalgic for your own youthful summer holidays or wistful that they weren't as carefree as his. Casarosa's film includes some piquant thoughts on education, family, bravery and fear. But, more than anything, it is an irresistible ode to a region and its culture. Watching it is like relaxing in the sunshine.

One of the more “meh” Pixar offerings, while still charming and watchable, not particularly memorable.

This movie was such a pleasent experience. It got me laughing and crying my eyes out. And what can you say about the animation that hasn't already being Said, Disney at their best. The plot is as simple as It gets and I think that's for the best. It's such a heartfelt little slice of life thing, with simple goals and a great message about accepting one self and others

Didn't have much in the way of expectations but it was better than I thought it would be. Really cute, great message, doesn't get boring, and Pixar managed to get me to cry again.

Luca is such a heartfelt and tender movie about a friendship between Alberto and Luca. Honestly my favourite animated film so far this year

This movie is certifiably OK. The animation is generally wonderful and is undoubtedly the best part of the film, but the character models were uninteresting, making it hard to connect with any of the emotional moments or beats the film was going for. The film is certainly not bad, it has some lovely vibrant animation and a distinct warmth and nostalgia, but it is exceptionally unremarkable and will be forgotten very quickly in my mind at least. You can watch it once!

This made me want to travel back to the Amalfi coast! This is a really cute Disney movie that really gets you into a summer vacay mood. The relationships between the characters is the highlight which is more well developed than many other Disney movies. It is not once of their masterpieces, but definitely enjoyable especially if you like Italy.

Pixar has done it again. Watched it twice in one week and loved every second. Beautiful animation and really captured the small towns in Italy. However I wish the characters spoke actual Italian that fit the situation rather than saying "mozzarella" over and over again.

Pixar u have done it again. The one thing I can appreciate about this film is that it’s not trying to be a masterpiece like the incredibles, toy story, monsters inc, or even UP and it’s not trying to be groundbreaking animation like wall e. It’s more down to earth and has a decent message to kids to never hide your true self and always be yourself no matter what people think. Ngl this was a hell of a lot better than raya 😂. The films depiction of Italy is spot on along with the story being about friendship and acceptance of those who are different and making things better. This is honestly what Pixar is all about. They wanna create these amazing heartwarming stories with this beautiful animation. This film is pretty decent and I give it a 10/10 highly recommended it 👍

It is a very nice and Interesting movie it has a variety of characters. The reason why I didn’t have full is it should be more and understandable especially for kids. Overall it is a great movie.

I really wanted to like this, but it’s not even close to some of the latest Disney movies (Coco, Moana, not to mention Soul). I didn’t mind the overplayed stereotypes (found some of them cute), but the plot was quite dull. Most annoying element is that the “evil” character in this movie makes absolutely no sense (does the town fear him? Do they make fun of him?). I did love Machiavelli the cat though!

I expect this film will grow on me, but on first viewing it was just a nice little film. I appreciate that Pixar are telling smaller stories and that their art style is now more stylised. Just lovely atmosphere
