When LeBron James and his young son Dom are trapped in a digital space by a rogue A.I., LeBron must get them home safe by leading Bugs, Lola Bunny and the whole gang of notoriously undisciplined Looney Tunes to victory over the A.I.’s digitized champions on the court: a powered-up roster of professional basketball stars as you’ve never seen them before. It’s Tunes versus Goons in the highest-stakes challenge of his life, that will redefine LeBron’s bond with his son and shine a light on the power of being yourself. The ready-for-action Tunes destroy convention, supercharge their unique talents and surprise even “King” James by playing the game their own way.

It’s a fun movie for kids but doesn’t feel original. Like there’s nothing new compared to the original one other than better graphics! And for others it is distressing and not fascinating.

Ok, so why are we hating so much on Space Jam? Did they basically recreate the premise of the first movie but with the current superstar and a more modern twist? Yes. Is that what they should have done? Yes. No where near as good as the first, but the nostalgia factor and homage to the original alone makes this a good movie.

An awkward two-hour homage to Warner Bros. franchises with enough manic CGI to give you motion sickness. Might be fun for the kiddos, but the nostalgia wears out real quick for anyone hoping to relive the original.

I feel so saddened by how much they managed to mess up such a wonderful movie! Where even to start? I don’t like that they animated Lebron for a good solid 30 minutes. It was weird. There were sequences of the movie where I quite literally had no clue what was going on. Straight up no idea 🤷‍♂️ it was confusing and just too loony! As many other people pointed out it felt like a Warner Bros commercial for all their shows and I have no idea why they felt Loony Tunes wasn’t enough and every other show they ever made had to be mixed in too. Finally, another FS user very perceptively pointed out that what made the original special was how the monsters were actually very likeable - you sympathized with them. There was none of that here and I think that really contributed to making the movie very one-sided and almost pointless. There was no tension! Disappointed. Didn’t even finish it 😢

This is seriously one of the worst films I’ve ever seen. I hated almost every second of it. I’m going to break down some of my thoughts, and I apologize in advance if I rant a bit and start to ramble. The blatant marketing for Warner Bros. properties (Matrix, DC, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Rick and Morty, and so many others) throughout this film is so incredibly obnoxious. They tried to be satirical with these properties and it constantly looked like a cash grab from the studio. Every time this happened, I was pulled from the screen, and I hated it all. The idea of a father coming to terms with his child having their own dreams; this is a fairly decent plot line for people of all ages, cool. But then you throw in an AI who wants to be famous? And to do so, he kidnaps LeBron James and his son Dom? HE’S A FREAKING COMPUTER PROGRAM, JUST TURN HIM OFF. I knew so much of what was about to happen throughout the film from the trailers. The trailers spoiled every single scene that had a bit of humor attached to it. The acting was absolutely horrendous; I didn’t expect greatness from LeBron, but everyone else could’ve been good. LeBron’s wife was a terrible actress who’s character felt shoehorned into the movie because the executives at WB wanted a woman in the cast. My favorite parts of this film were the 5 minutes I missed when I got up to use the restroom and the licorice and root beer that I consumed while watching.

En underholdende og til tider sjov opfølger til kult klassikeren fra 1996. LeBron James gør sit bedste for at tage arven op men flere ting fejler.

Everybody wants to be like Mike! However, there is only one Michael Jordan. There was zero need for this film, and LeBron James could have probably done some sort of original film if he wanted, but for some reason, someone thought a remake of Space Jam was the way to go. Unfortunatedly Lebron James' unlikable personality did not help the film. The difference between this one and the original is that Michael Jordan was able to laugh at himself, while this one spends the first 15 - 20 minutes telling you how amazing LeBron is, jajajajajaja. Honestly, this remake would have probably been better with Kobe Bryant. That being said Don Cheadle stole the movie. He does a phenomenal job and he is probably the best part of the movie. If you want to see Space Jam, watch the original. P.S. LeBron probably thought he would be in the finals during the release of the film, whoops, jajajajaja.

Despite LeBron James' best efforts to make a winning team out of the Tune Squad, Space Jam: A New Legacy trades the zany, meta humor of its predecessor for a shameless, tired exercise in IP-driven branding.

I honestly don't know what people was thinking when they went into this. This movie wasn't supposed to better than the original or be a Oscar contender it was just supposed to entertain you. Even though the movie didn't really need to happen I feel like it really became its own thing and still respected the original. For me it did just that because I had a absolute blast with this. LeBron James is no perfect actor by any means but i do think he did a great job with what he had to do hell Micheal Jordan wasn't no thesbian either. Everything else in this movie was just perfect for me from the references, the cgi , acting, and Don Cheadle who kinda stole the show with this performance. I couldn't even begin to hate on this. Definitely surpassed my expectations.

Forgot how annoying daffy duck is. Fun In parts but feels like a waste of my time. Don't go to far out of your way your way to see this film. My 11 year old brother enjoyed it however so maybe one for younger kids.

Everything is so perfect and so relative to this day. So many memes and references you'd probably catch only if you're into basketball, but a lot to do with WB too. Made me smile throughout, and that's mainly what matters. Great, enjoyable summer movie :)
