Little Things: Weird in good way Before I dig into the movie review let me tell you about Denzel Washington(2 times Oscar Winner), To put it simply he is a classic Hollywood actor often referred to as an oak tree in Hollywood landscape-Tall, strong, enduring with both breadth & depth. In his entire film career, he has maintained consistency & delivered a quality performance in every film. Be it Glory, Malcolm X, The pelican brief, Philadelphia, Crimson tide, Remember the titans, The great debaters, Manchurian Candidate, The book of Eli, This man was able to break free from stereotyped roles. Denzel uses his facial expressions to convey feelings, allowing you to sense what he is feeling simply by watching. His dramatic look appears to be effortless, on the television. He's played a variety of roles, and his fearless decisions set him apart from the rest. Even in serious roles, he has a sense of humour, which he uses to enhance his character. Quick recall: His last movies were The Equalizer, Fences, Roman J. Israel, Esq. Now let's talk about little things, Apart from Denzel Washington film has Rami Malek(Oscar winner) yes, this is probably the oddest pair on-screen but since the movie showcases the old- and new-school detective work, it's digestible. This movie has elements like a true detective, Se7en, Zodiac so you can expect twists. Likewise the film is a grim, slow-burn thriller about remorse and obsession. This film relies heavily on character study, as Denzel says, "it's the little things that get you caught." It's less about the action and more about the relationship between three men: Jared Leto (Albert Sparma), Rami Malek (Jim Baxter), and Denzel Washington (Joe "Deke" Deacon). There are several misleadings, & cover-ups, this film is ambiguous In every way. Any interpretation is acceptable if you interpret it in your own way. (audience wins) " Past becomes the future & future becomes the past" “It's the little things that rip you apart, It's the little things that get you caught". Obsessions & ambiguity are the antagonists. In the movie. Go for it. What’s Bad: Climax could be more punchy Note: The film needs patience Director: John Lee Hancock (The Highwaymen)

Interesting idea but it feels like actors we’re not used to there full protection. Wicked twist at the end though.

6.5/10 Amazing cast, cinematography and editing. Wish the plot was better written. The intention was great, to explore that balance between justice and injustice, guilt of a failed redemption. But unfortunately the script is a bit weak and doesn’t do the idea justice.

Watched this movie solely for Denzel, since he mostly works on really good storyline based movies, but I must say, I was a bit disappointed. Just a bit. But overall, it’s a good one time watch.

Denzel makes any movie better, but ultimately this was a bit flat and some big question marks over people's decision making skills.

Could've been a better movie in hands of a more competent director. This movie had everything it needed to be at least very good, everything, but the conviction. Very underwhelming ending.

Frustrated by the ending. And Denzel Washington has still got it. And Jared Leto is basically always just going to play insane people from here on out I guess.

Watching now. This is a confusing movie to me. The first hour and a half was confusing. The last 15-20 min. was still leaving me wondering what did I just watched. 2 hrs plus wasted 👎🏽

Good movie, well acted, and an interesting story. I'm glad I was able to watch in on HBO and not pay to see it at the movies. Denzel Washington is strong as always and Jared Leto plays an amazing creep of a human.
