Beautiful art direction, plot is weak at best, could have been so much more.

Bit of a shame really. Could have been much better. A lot was confusing, like we'd missed something. Pieces waiting to be explained but doesn't feel like it will be. Oddly slow. The two separate sections of Earth and Space felt too detached. Then matched by some pretty predictable moments at times. A few reused concepts SPOILER (like hallucinating the daughter with him) - felt reused rather than reimagined. If you're going to use a twist like that then need to do something new to it. One of my favourite film composers Alexandre Desplat scored this. Shame it was not actually well done here. A lot of sections didn't match the mood and didn't work seamlessly as he used to. Classic desplat sounding but just does not match. It's as if he wrote a score and sent it in without working with frames and seeing the film. How odd 😑 I did however watch it through to the end so not the worst of things. Something to have on in the background and make commentary with my dad about 😅 shame with a good cast, could have been much better. I did like the end credits how normal life going on in background Fav part: Sweet Caroline moments 🙋🏽♀️ holla

Really bad, it felt like this was some kind of educational video done for secondary science students about global warming... There's a twist that no one watching really cares about near the end that's almost funny its so anticlimactic.

He was lost. His heart ached. Lost not became of the global catastrophe. Lost because he felt he failed his daughter. Failed to show her the love she deserves, failed to protect her, to direct her - to be there for her. His discovery seemed little, his life seemed empty for he may fail again to be there for his daughter.

The narrative is totally slow, in addition to their dialogues they tend to be confusing, not to mention the change of scene that is not quite good.

George Clooney hasn't made a movie in ~4 years, and he chose this. I can only assume he needed the paycheck or simply doesn't care anymore. The acting in the movie is very good but the plot and story are mediocre at best. They use every single cliche in the book. You could see what was going to happen a mile away.

Some fundamental flaws in the story (e.g walking through icy cold conditions for days without hypothermia). Good acting though

Surprisingly Bad for a book movie. Boring story. 3/10 just for the visuals. Waste of time wouldnt recommend.
