Yes Day fails to take full advantage of its wish-fulfillment premise, aiming for family fun but settling for harmlessly mediocre.

Kinda like a kid friendly version of Yes Man. Fun kids film. Love Jennifer Garner, nice to see Jenna Ortega in more stuff too; she’s very good. (The son reminds me so much of little John Francis Daley from Freaks and Geeks). Loved the end credits style.
Definitely don’t endorse saying yes to everything or everyone but do like the concept of the freedom and adventure that comes with opening yourself up to opportunities put before you. Got many a crazy stories from saying yes. I did like the concept of this for a family, especially having the kids work for the yes day (grades, homework, chores etc.) and a day to celebrate.
I did have to keep reminding myself it’s a kids film because certain things shouldn’t be happening 😄 3/4 way through got quite painful as film formulas seem to do but glad I painfully ploughed through for my favourite scene later! Definitely is to be kept in mind as a kids film.
Nando is such a hilarious name for a child. Do they know of a cheeky Nandos out in the States? 🍗 🍔 😅
A few vague but strong emphasised concepts. How really harshly the mom constantly says no, a dad who never wants to be the bad guy, the dad doesn’t seem addicted to job and then can’t go a day without his phone and wants to leave his family on their one day for work, when normally he seems he loves them so much. But the mum is actually a really good mum, the dad seems out of character. Few details but hey-ho kids film.
That Korean breakfast looks amazing (and awful) hahha 🍧
I internally panicked so much at the water damage in the car! And whether there are any chemicals that wouldn’t be safe ha. And all of the damage in the house; the broken lamp, the TV 😭 alll the foammm. Haha I know I'm an adult now
The concert was my favourite part hands down 😍 with Garner and daughter on stage, then with H.E.R. singing Baby I Need Your Lovin’ 👏🏼⭐️ a beauty.
Also proper genuinely loved the daughters Haiku:
A caged bird am I.
My mother, my sweet captor.
Mother, let me fly.
I'm not good at numbering my reviews so maybe take words over number. Stuck between decent and good! 🤷🏽♀️
Trying to be new but does every stereotype
