Shadyside, 1978. School’s out for summer and the activities at Camp Nightwing are about to begin. But when another Shadysider is possessed with the urge to kill, the fun in the sun becomes a gruesome fight for survival.

SPOILER WARNING After just watching the first movie in this series, I liked this one a lot more. I thought it was more scary and action packed. I think that it explained a lot more about the origin and the story all together and overall it was just executed better in my opinion. Positives: - I think Sadie Sink does a great job in this film and I am excited to see her in the 3rd. one as well. - I thought the whole time that Cindy was the sister that lived but it was really Ziggy. I loved that. - I think the ending was cool with Deena being transported into Sarah Fier's world in a way. - I think the pacing of this film was better than the first. It was all set in pretty much one place, the camp. - I like how they find the underground witch's lair and really discover everything except where the witch's body is and that is why they couldn't stop the curse yet. - I was definitely more on edge in this movie, especially when Cindy and Ziggy are digging under the tree and all of the killers are coming towards them, it was really stressful and scary and I liked it a lot. - I liked how we got to see the witches' lair and read into the diary more. Negatives: - Why did Alice have to die? She deserved better after her character development. - Why are the people from Sunnyvale so incredibly mean like I get the classic rivalry but they need to calm down. - I definitely feel like these movies could be shorter. There's a lot of buildup that feels unnecessary. Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars

This was so much better than first one with a fanilar setup but has a better punch in the execution than the first. For a rated R movie this wasn't as brutal or gorey as the first one surprisingly. The problems I have with the movie are minimum. The constant oldies music playing every 10 mins to feel nostalgia. The sister dynamic has been done alot of times even tho this one was still well done I've seen that type of relationship before many times. This movie also does this annoying thing I've been noticing lately where a character expresses it feelings and given depth to them and the get killed off seconds after for shock value. Other than that this was a nice slasher for sure.

I am actually 𝕃𝕆𝕍𝕀ℕ𝔾 these films so much 🤩🤩 loving how it's tying together, so want to know how this ends!! Again, great level of horror/ humour. Not so bad that means I can actually watch it before bed! So hooked!! 🔪

Another great teen-slasher film and they really don't hold back in the gore. Of course you know some of the plot due to the first film being set after these events but even then there are still some clever twists. I do think this is the weakest film in the Fear Street trilogy but nonetheless entertaining! 🏕️⛏️

Wow. This is another horror film that tackles so many aspects I appreciate within the genre. The kills are awesome, we have relatable characters, witty banter, and undead killers. There is a lot of background given to the history of the evil first presented in Part 1 of this franchise and tells the story of one set of victims and their killer (the set from 1978). I’d love to see more films showing the other time periods or even an anthology series, because this is SO well made.

Absolutely amazing. I rated Part One with 4/10 because it was awful, and as I said I hoped that was just introduction to series. It was. Part Two is probably one of a kind. Definitely worth watching! Hope that Part Three is even better, if it can be.

A smart and subversive twist on slasher horror, Fear Street Part II: 1978 shows that summer camp has never been scarier thanks to stellar performances from Sadie Sink, Emily Rudd, and Ryan Simpkins.

Again as with part one you could say this stole and plagiarized from every great slasher film of the 80s in particular Friday the 13th, but you could also say it pays homage to those classics and does it very well. I really enjoyed this, totally old school, great effects, acting and atmosphere. Voorhees and Myers would be proud!
