The subtlety of this movie will make you wanna watch it till the end. The cinematography, the slow-mo shots, the production is just absolutely stunning matched with the superb sound production of this movie. And if you're watching this movie using your headphones you'd know how little little sounds will amaze you. Apart from all of that the movie packs a good storyline, and a really great performance delivered by the star cast. A really really great and fun movie with predictive plots to watch on the weekends. Have a watch you'll love this one.

A fun, predictable heist movie and a great second part to a franchise no one asked for. Welcome to the Fast and the Furious but all the cars are zombies.

A Little Help From Some Old Friends This “Army of the Dead” prequel leans in, deliberately, to every last heist movie cliché.

Good movie ... I was feeling so happy to watch a prequel of my favorite character of Army of the Dead ... Though it had some expected twists but the comedy kept me engaged

📣 Top user review: Not bad but not great either, very meh. The safecracking is repetitive and the police chasing was lazy. The movie tried to be self aware but it didn't work. The team lacked chemistry and acting was only okay. Only good thing going is stunning visuals.

An unnecessary prequel 🐻‍❄️ It would be a better movie if they released this before Army of Dead. Since you know he (The Locksmith) appears in the Army of Dead, many intense scenes like chasing and the climax don’t excite you. If they want to expand the universe they could just plan more sequels! The lead actor did an excellent job as an actor and a director. It’s a decent heist movie if you watch this before Army of Dead. Again just decent and plain, don't expect twists and turns.

Light hearted and comically funny and I fucking love it! This may be a prequel to Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead but let me tell you this folks this movie is miles better it terms of story and in terms of compelling characters. If you've already watched Army of the Dead this follows the story of Sebastian (the innocent nerd who loves to crack safes) before he met the crew of Batista in the midst of the zombie plague. When I watched Army of the Dead I always have this feeling that they didn't give the character of Sebastian justice they just made him a side show character maybe because the story revolves around Batista and his crew. But man this movie nailed it. Not only they give us the in depth narrative about Sebastian they introduced us to another universe where if played right it may give us a wonderful movie franchise. Give us Part 3 please!!

Loved it. I thought by the colors used in the movie that it was going to be boring but it was completely unexpected. Funny, witty, and heartbreaking. Great movie.

I enjoyed it, some parts more than others but overall a good movie. I think the character worked well together and I enjoyed seeing the mechanics of the locks when they were being cracked.

An unnecessary “prequel” of a fun side character of Army of the Dead. It awkwardly steers away from the zombie apocalypse for a fairly straightforward heist movie. Zach Snyder seems to be intentionally aiming for cliché, with cheesy stage-offs, a forced romance story, and watered-down characters. But instead of capitalizing on heist movie tropes, it mostly just comes off as unoriginal. The film takes too long to get rolling, although the third chapter picks up steam. The lead is endearing enough to do some heavy lifting, but a compelling army of characters was stolen right out from under him.

The close-up shots of the inner workings of the safe look great! That’s pretty much where the greatness ends, though…

fun Netflix prequel swaps horror for more heists Zack Snyder’s surprisingly effective zombie caper Army of the Dead gets a zippy prequel that follows Matthias Schweighöfer’s unlikely safecracker.

Fun heist film but the characters fell flat to me.  The constant closeups of inanimate objects also grated on my nerves.

Nice movie on thieves, it shows a person who is a master of safe-cracking. It feels a bit slow and long to watch but overall it is a one time watch movie

Army of Thieves doesn't reinvent the heist thriller, but director-star Matthias Schweighöfer proves an appealing presence on both sides of the camera. There are snappier heist movies, but for viewers in search of a capering good time, Army of Thieves is a fairly safe bet.
