the only reason I saw this movie was because it was on the plane when I was flying to NYC and if I watched it all I would be halfway there when it was over

Ever since the release of this film, I have said that I enjoyed Avengers: Infinity War better, however that opinion has changed during this MCU rewatch I’ve had with my friends over the past few months. The connections to the 21 prior films within the MCU and its culmination to this point are what this film is all about and I think the rewatch has helped me to grasp that even better than before. If you can’t tell, I loved the rewatch of this film because it made me cry so many times. This is the longest film review I’ve ever written and I know that, but this brings so many emotions that I don’t always feel. Seeing Stan Lee in this film absolutely warmed my heart and made me so sad again. Seeing him smile and say a line that coincided with his views in life was amazing and made me miss him and his amazing personality more than I have in a long time. Not the first time in this film that I cried, but one that I didn’t expect to hit me. Spoilers: Tony’s return to Earth with Nebula was a sad reunion with the team that was based on Earth. Rocket and Nebula were able to connect on a level of humanity that we hadn’t see from either due to the loss of the other Guardians of the Galaxy. Thor returning to a time where his mother was still alive was touching. His humanity was shown a lot as he considered himself a failure for not killing Thanos sooner than he did. His reconnection with his mom helped him to regain the confidence needed to pull off the Time Heist and recognize his own strength once again. Steve and Tony’s trip into the past where they were able to see someone they loved in a time where neither of them were around was incredibly heartbreaking because it showed what both had lost: time with Peggy Carter and Howard Stark respectively. The sacrifice of Black Widow in order to let Hawkeye obtain the Soul Stone is absolutely heartbreaking. They both tried so hard to be the one to sacrifice themselves but ultimately Natasha won the battle. I also loved how Red Skull just stood and watched as the fight between the former SHIELD agents took place. After finding out about Natasha’s death, it was very interesting to see the reactions of the other five original Avengers and how they took her death as a group. Hulk’s Snap was a great risk to himself and Banner while it did the thing that the universe had wanted for the five years after Thanos’ Snap. It showed how much both Bruce and Hulk had grown over the years and how much the two of them were willing to sacrifice in order to save as much as they could. Thanos’ arrival from the past into the present was so unexpected to each and every hero on Earth. Seeing them unprepared for a fight with the Titan again was something rather unusual for the Avengers and enjoyable to watch. The battle between Thanos, Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America is one that is amazing to see. Cap is finally able to use Thor’s hammer while the three heroes get to fight together one final time. The final battle brought together heroes from every corner of the MCU to defeat Thanos and his army, something that gives me chills each and every time I see it. Tony was reunited with Peter Parker once again. He was able to see the man he mentored and fight alongside him one last time. Seeing Thanos scared of Scarlet Witch was amazing, and showed the lengths that Thanos would go to in order to protect himself, including killing his own soldiers. The female hero team up was extremely cheesy, but still very fun to watch. Seeing heroes return to fight after they had been Snapped away by Thanos such as Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Drax, Groot, Black Panther, and so many others was incredible. And then there is Tony’s Snap. Tony’s Snap saved everyone. He killed Thanos. He saved his wife and child. He saved all of the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Tony Stark saved the universe. And he sacrificed himself to do so. Tony Stark IS Iron Man. The funeral held for Tony Stark wasn’t just for the characters in the MCU, it was for the fans who had seen Tony grow since the beginning of the franchise back in 2008 with Iron Man. That film changed the game for the film industry and started a revolution of superhero culture bigger than the world had ever experienced. Steve Rogers was able to travel to the past when returning the Infinity Stones and in turn spend the time he had missed with the woman he loved: Peggy Carter. After those years, Steve returned to the present to give Sam Wilson the mantle of Captain America and to say goodbye to both Sam and Bucky Barnes. Steve Rogers finally got to have his happy ending, grow old, and dance with Agent Peggy Carter.

PROs : 💔 Great acting all around ⚔️ Awesome battle scenes 🍺 Boozey Thor 🥚Easter Eggs galore CONs : ⌚Time travel that contradicts their own explanation 👯‍♀️ The ridiculously cringe girl-power clip All in all a great way to tie up this story, I wasn't sure how I felt about the time travel element being introduced but it actually worked quite well!

A 10 on 10 theater going experience but a 9 movie in hindsight. As a culmination of 20 year plus cinematic universe, couldn't have expected more from the ending. A middling start but overall brilliant action, some heartbreaking moments and overall an amazing experience.

Very good “ending” to a great series. Thor is still my fave, and how he does a mashup with guardians.

Yes, Avengers: Endgame is most certainly worthy of a 10/10. With a stunning star ensemble, glorious visual effects, epic action scenes, and nostalgic elements, this 2019 film has become a beloved piece by critics and audiences alike. Even if you’re not an MCU fanatic, the story and cinematography will transport you to a new world—a world in which the world’s most beloved superheroes come together to battle and say their final goodbyes… for now.

That’s 3 hours I’ll never get back. I didn’t appreciate how they butchered Hulk & made Thor a shell of himself. The pacing is awful. Way too long.

A solid end to a long running series, but not quite as strong as its predecessor (Infinity War) for me. The (spoiler alert) time travel trope felt like a slightly easy way out for me and more than a little predictable, I felt they missed out on a great opportunity to reveal subtle Easter eggs that could have been picked out throughout the rest of the series in the lead up to this film, but still a great film with non-stop action and some beautifully poignant ends for more than a few of our favourite characters.

A Perfect Conclusion to an epic finale!!!! I felt satisfied with all the Avengers. Amazing Storyline, yes I liked the time travel stuff even if it’s too much fan service. Smh. It’s now one of my all time favorite movies. You will laugh, Cry, scream for joy. So many emotions. I love it. I personally prefer this over Infinity War
