An absolute modern day classic. A movie that felt like a far cry from happening ending up being a dream come true. With talent behind and in front of the camera that makes it all worth it. This and and the sequel are two are my favorite movies ever. I have a great feeling the third one will be good as well. Maximum effort indeed.

“Do you think Ryan Reynolds got this far on his superior acting methods?” - Deadpool Seriously such an awesome origin story for the merc with a mouth himself. Ryan Reynolds finally got to do everything he wanted for the character of Deadpool. I love the romance that we see between him and Vanessa throughout, and I’m excited to see it continue! The introduction of Negasonic Teenage Warhead and new version of Colossus was done really organically and opened up the doors for the story of Deadpool to be connected to the larger X-Men universe. The only reason I won’t give this film a 10/10 is the lame villains. Ajax is whatever, he’s just a generic jerk who absolutely crushed everything in Wade’s life. But then there’s Angel Dust played by the horrible Gina Carano. That woman cannot act and she should seriously find another career.

Ryan Reynolds was undoubtfully born to play this role. The movie is in my opinion absolutely hilarious. However, be aware that the action is quite violent and the humor is dark. That being said it makes fun of the x-men universe as well as pop culture in general. I only wish TJ Miller had a bigger role since the banter between him and Reynolds is phenomenal.

What can I say! Ryan fucking Reynolds! His dialogue delivery, comedy sense was just perfect for the role. Watched it first day first show on the day of release! Brilliant 9 stars!

An entertaining comedy with enough story and heart to keep me engaged. The jokes are very of the time it was released and the fan base is not one I can identify myself with, but I watched it at the cinema when it came out and I enjoyed the sarcasm and the breaking of the 4th wall, it’s action packed and overall a good watch.
