A good one time watch. Loved the character of Hercule Poirot. I will definitely make sure to read some Agatha Christie novels after watching the movie.. A well written story, with importance to every character, although it was a bit predictable at the end. The mystery was also creeping out from time to time. A particular mention to the beautiful Egypt backdrops captured in the movie. One word Spectacular. Emma Mackey was my favorite character to be honest.

I was so so excited for this and had my eyes on it forever… just became available on Hulu 🎉. I’m very into detective, and it’s a classic. The scenery is BEAUTIFUL (definitely was googling holidays to the pyramids mid movie…) and cast is excellent too. But Poirot just moves a bit fast in his summaries… if you blink for a second you don’t quite track all the discoveries as you go through, and I found myself rewinding to pick it up. It’s probably a 7.5 but feel like it came in below my (high) expectations.

Disappointing considering how good Brannagh’s “Murder on the Orient Express” was. Bad acting (Russel Brand… seriously?), poor chemistry, too many characters competing for Center stage, miscasting (French and Saunders DO NOT play the desperately needed comic relief here, wtf?!) Does Gal Gadot have to be in everything now? Avoid.

While there’s nothing obviously wrong with this film, it just felt flat. I didn’t really connect with the characters and therefore while the reveals were fun to see, I wasn’t emotionally involved. A bit too slow and I think there was a lack of direction as well. Establishing the characters better would probably have helped.

I was hoping this would be much better than it was, and more comparable to Knives Out (2019), but this does a fairly decent job of keeping the audience engaged. The accents throughout feel a bit weird alongside the issues of race and same-sex relationships being thrown in and feeling out of place. If there was a better cast here, with less time focused on weird shots of Egypt, bad green screens, and realistic writing, this could’ve been great. The concept is cool (as most murder mysteries are), but the fact that the mystery doesn’t start until an hour or so in feels incredibly lazy. I can’t say that I didn’t enjoy watching this, my mom definitely made it more enjoyable. This isn’t something she typically watches, but I got her to move out of her comfort zone a bit and I think she really enjoyed this.

Hercule Poirot strikes again This time the story takes place in the river Nile, the killer is somewhat predictable this time around but the story still stretches to give us glimpse of Poirot and Buc's magnifique performance. The set location is good, soundtrack is ok but this one did not stood up to the mark.

. Las vacaciones egipcias del detective belga Hércules Poirot, a bordo de un glamuroso barco de vapor, se ven alteradas por la búsqueda de un asesino cuando la idílica luna de miel de una pareja perfecta se ve truncada de la forma más trágica. 👁 Dixmax

It’s just boring and I found it hard to connect with any characters and see beyond their surface level traits. It would rank lower if it didn’t look so good and the passion wasn’t there.

A solid adaptation of the classic novel, well-led by Branagh in character, but not entirely satisfying on the whole. Unfortunately there's some pretty bad CG and a little bit too much extraneous stuff to really make this work. I did enjoy the spectacular surroundings and decor on the ship though.

This one was 100 times better than the Orient express story, I know they don't have any connection but I found the sequal or I should say the franchise continuation, a bit more interesting. Death on the Nile is a treat for crime and mystery lovers.

Old-fashioned to a fault, the solidly entertaining Death on the Nile is enlivened by its all-star cast and director-star Kenneth Branagh's obvious affection for the material.

A bit of a nice mystery, I personally found it quite predictable. Loved the landscapes though, rally good immersion into egypt

Great rendition of a classic story, beautifully shot and well performed. Nicely directed and puts you straight into the time period in which the film takes place.

Writing was obvious, shots were good, cgi was not on point. Film started off boring, then twisted, then boring again, then really really interesting, then boring again,, then another twist and then another twist and then just kind of ended. Overall very intriguing. You'll guess who will die and by whom before the first one gets killed off!

If you haven’t read the book then this is a good murder mystery. It’s a slow burn telling the back story of the characters before getting into the actual murder but keeps you interested in what’s going on.

Really good watch.. but I did work it out from 15min(ish) in who the killer was and why lol But it didn’t ruin it and I enjoyed the journey it took you on

Kenneth Branagh makes heavy weather of Christie caper Branagh’s spirited performance as Poirot and a big-name ensemble cast can’t keep this stale and two-dimensional whodunnit afloat.

Oddly, as underwhelming as the first one. There are definitely elements to enjoy if you're a fan of the genre, which I would consider myself to be. I'd say it's well cast with good performances and high production value. However, as a film that should be driven by the story and the mystery, I'd probably say this is where it fell flat for me. I haven't read the book, so can't comment on the accuracy of the adaptation, but I won't be rushing to buy a copy.

Armie Hammer sure did pick a loser for his last big film post-cancellation.

Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot's vacation aboard a glamorous river steamer turns into a terrifying search for a murderer when a picture-perfect couple's idyllic honeymoon is tragically cut short. Set against an epic landscape of sweeping Egyptian desert vistas and the majestic Giza pyramids, this tale of unbridled passion and incapacitating jealousy features a cosmopolitan group of impeccably dressed travelers, and enough wicked twists and turns to leave audiences guessing until the final, shocking denouement.

Average acting and the reveal felt unsatisfying. I wasn’t invested in any of the characters’ relationships because they felt shallow and uninteresting. Definitely preferred the previous film’s group over this one.

One time watch on similar lines of murder mystery movie but a serious one
