Kind of long, almost should have been a miniseries but still completely engaging most of the way through

This movie had some big shoes to fill but unfortunately has a basic plot and decent execution, just like eternals. Not worth the hype. In typical Marvel fashion, it has good visuals, but thats about it.

honestly i preferred it to nwh, i love how the scarlet witch became a villian, and was heartbreaking to see how much she wanted her kids.

Very poor plot and not so convincing characters and performances. Only thing liked about the movie was Sam raimi's direction and infusion of horror element into the supernatural Dr strange world also OMG stunning visuals too. cameos felt forced. Got Little extra hyped for the movie. Going without expectations gives you a decent experience

Well, I was expecting a great movie (really like the first one), but was very disappointed... this "horror touch" is really pointless! A mad Wanda, a Strange Zombie is not Marvel like. It lacks funny moments and pleasant atmosphere -even in war! - as we are used to in MCU. Special effects of course are great but couldn't fulfill the void of a authentic Marvel touch.

May 6, 2022: Genuinely one of the greatest superhero films of all time with Sam Raimi’s style shining through in every aspect of the film. It’s been way too long since he’s made a superhero film and I hope his return leads to more projects from him in the future of the MCU!! In addition to the amazing directing, we’ve got the absolutely brilliant score from Danny Elfman. The score plays such a large role in this film and Danny manages to make every second of it count. This film is inherently about Doctor Strange and I think that’s absolutely perfect. We don’t focus much on the absurdities of the multiverse, it’s explained and then we dive right in. We seen different Variants of Stephen Strange, but each one helps ours (from Earth-616) learn more about himself and self-reflect. We’ve quickly seen so much development for Doctor Strange; we know where he is now, where he’s going, but also how his past still affects him (killing Thanos). Benedict Cumberbatch absolutely nails each Variant of Doctor Strange out of the park and I couldn’t think of a better actor to have taken on this complex role in the MCU. I’m going to switch to Earth-838 for a minute because holy crap. They’ve introduced us to so many new Variants of iconic heroes: Professor X, Captain Marvel, Black Bolt, Captain Carter, and Mister Fantastic. So many wonderful actors chosen to appear for each of these characters (some reprising old roles), but perfect nonetheless. Seeing Patrick Stewart, Hayley Atwell, and John Krasinski we’re definitely the highlight of The Iluminati for me and I really hope we get to see Variants of these characters on Earth-616 (or another multiversal project). Then we’ve got Wanda Maximoff herself. The Scarlet Witch. Tragedy, heartbreak, despair, loneliness. All of these describe Wanda of Earth-616 perfectly. I genuinely felt her agony throughout this film and can only imagine what a mother would do to save and be with her children. The fact that we saw Wanda arrive in Wundagore is something that’s been coming for a long time now. The death of Wanda wasn’t seen, so maybe there’s a chance for her return, but if this is truly the end for her, I’m glad she died a hero. May 15, 2022: So glad I was able to see this in theaters a second time, because it’s absolutely brilliant! I genuinely love this film and all of the absurdities it dives into. Since the release of this film, I’ve seen a lot of debate in regards to the level of violence and gore shown throughout and it’s rating (PG-13). Sure, it’s darker than most other MCU entries, but that doesn’t mean it should be rated R. To me, that extra darkness adds a new tone to the MCU and showcases how exactly horror elements can be incorporated while still allowing a story to be told that restricts viewers below the age of 17. Both Sam Raimi and Danny Elfman plaster this film with themselves. So often you can see and hear the styles of both artists and it goes to show incredibly talented both the director and composer are respectively. On this watch specifically, I really paid attention to America Chavez. I wanted to make sure that I didn’t overlook her while enjoying Doctor Strange, The Scarlet Witch, Wong, and The Illuminati. America stands so incredibly strong here. Not only does she show insane resilience because she grew up in her own, but she learns to judge others based on their actions. She might be young, but America Chavez may become one of the most vital roles in the MCU going forward!

Mind bending! The visual effects of this movie were amazing. Not to forget the direction and the story was excellent as well. It opens up great new possibilities for Marvel fans in the MCU.

Always good to have a Marvel movie in the theatres. However, the creative chaos was evident. Is it a typical funny/adventurous/action Marvel movie, or is it a half ass attempt at a comic horror flick.

Saw it in 4DX was really fun and enjoyable but I was hyped up for more to happen in the film so I was a little disappointed. But I love seeing Miss Wanda as a villain even thought it was sad.

I'm a big Raimi fan so it was very rewarding seeing his fingerprints all over the film The most tonally unique MCU entry yet, the jump scares were a little bit tame for me personally but they really pushed the limit with this entry in terms of what they can show And naturally all the cameos/fan service will satisfy both Marvel and Raimi diehards, one of the few times in glad I saw the movie at the cinema

I was expecting so much more from this film. The characters and actors were amazing like always however the plot was definitely lacking, they had so much potential working with the multiverse and yet they barely used it. Really disappointing but nesecarry to watch for a marvel fan.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It brought many interesting elements into play. I’m not usually the kind of person who enjoys thriller-style films, but the scary scenes of this movie were exciting and satisfying.

Just like Thor Ragnarok this movie definitely sticks out amongst the Marvel movies. It’s still a marvel movie up and down but the style and atmosphere is so different that I can see some fans not liking this. I totally understand every flaw someone may make but my enjoyment for this was so high. I was kinda worried going into this that this game was going to be cameo city but it actually wasn’t. This still feels like a Doctor Strange movie and I really enjoyed his character. I do feel like he goes on a more emotional journey in the first one than this one but Wanda picks up on that part. For me Wanda almost stole the show with her slasher movie presence. Elizabeth Olsen really comes through with this character as she owns every part of the screen. Everyone else did just as good, they were just kinda sidelined because of what was going on. American Chavez was nice but I feel like we didn’t spend enough time with the character to really care for her. In this movie She was mostly used as a plot device. Other than that this is a Sam Rami superhero movie that I loved sincerely. It’s definitely not for anyone with the horror elements but thats one of the main reasons why I like it.

Movie was below what i expected it to be, the only thing that came in to my mind after watching it, was the title, it should have been 'Dr Strange and Madness of Scarlet Witch' Whilst the overall direction was in line with other Sam Raimi movies, pinch of Evil Dead horror in a superhero movie was something new. Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olson) has continued her villainous persona that we saw in the Wanda Vision series, immensely powerful yet unable to control her emotions, leading to a lot of destruction through the Multiverse. P.S. Second end credit scene can be avoided

The dialogue and “marvel tropes” are beginning to drag a bit, not quite entertaining or thought out enough to cover for its weaknesses.

Una excelente película como siempre, aunque me hubiera gustado que introdujeran más sobre el multiverso y que no se centraran tanto en un solo personaje.

Fun, energetic, and with all the fright of a Raimi horror, 'Strange vs. Evil Dead' is a great movie lol. It does have a lot going on, though, and much of it feels abandoned in favor of the film's tone. That's not a bad decision, but it does leave you wondering why they tried to do so much to begin with. Thankfully, the tone is well executed, with every calm moment still reminding us there's a chaotic storm right outside of view. There are some characters I look forward to seeing again (in large part because they feel so underutilised here). But all in all, a good one to watch!

I think this was one of the worst Marvel movies in a very long time. It seemed more like a Bollywood movie. This lacked story, and was a more comedy drama movie.

Sam Raimi tried to bring his horror genre into the storyline. But he could have made this more successful if there had been more character development rather than non stop action. Visuals and music was good.

Sam Raimi brings some 80s camp horror style to this multiverse adventure and I think they just about pulled it off. The plot was incredibly fast paced and the lead stars (Wanda & Dr Strange) took it in their stride - both super charismatic frenemies. Kudos to Danny Elfman as well on a beautiful score that really adds so much to the experience (side note to this though, I did not care for the musical battle - weird and not very cohesive with everything else we've seen)
