This made me want to travel back to the Amalfi coast! This is a really cute Disney movie that really gets you into a summer vacay mood. The relationships between the characters is the highlight which is more well developed than many other Disney movies. It is not once of their masterpieces, but definitely enjoyable especially if you like Italy.

The newest outing for Disney’s Pixar is an absolute gem the left me feeling calm and blessed to have the people in my life that I do. The relationship between Luca and Alberto is one of great importance and shows how two boys from very different backgrounds can come together to experience the world together. I can’t lie, there were quite a few times that this film made me tear up. The protection from both Julia and her dad was so unexpected but touching in all of the right ways. There are classic Pixar films, but I’m so glad they’ve been creating unique stories and worlds lately (such as Soul (2020), Onward (2020), and the upcoming Turning Red (2022)). These films, in addition to Luca (2021) are providing a wonderful avenue for storytelling, and I’m thrilled to see where those stories take us.

*immediately books holiday to Italy* Not Pixar's finest but wow does it capture the magic of the Italy's Cinque Terra. 🇮🇹🍝☕🐟🛵 ...Also how much did Vespa pay them to get this level of advertising? 😅

Animation, the message, voice acting, Cinematography was all great and something that Pixar always gets right but they fall short in one area .......The Story . Pixar created probably the most annoying villain character ever. This man was such a one demintional character who got wayy to much screen time to have no personality instead of being mean. Luca isn't really a good friend and to be honest I kinda like Alberto alot more he seems to have more depth. I hated some of the character choices that were made. They seem so out of character and very random really threw me off. The voice acting is nice but It would been cool to have actual Italian voice actors to perform. I respect anybody who enjoyed this but I can't see myself watching this again.

Another exceptional and unique animated movie from Pixar and their ever growing list of tales. This movie 🎥 set in some remote part of Italy 🇮🇹 is warm, fun, and importantly absolutely full of life! There are some amazing laugh out loud moments and some very teary 😢 scenes. It finishes as smoothly as it takes off, and displays the lows and ultimately the joys of family, friendship and loyalty and how strong these bonds should be. Grab lots of 🍿🍿🍿 for this and grab some family and friends and share it all around!!! Eccezionale!!! Mamma Mia!!! 👏🏻 🎞👏🏻

One of the more “meh” Pixar offerings, while still charming and watchable, not particularly memorable.

Pixar u have done it again. The one thing I can appreciate about this film is that it’s not trying to be a masterpiece like the incredibles, toy story, monsters inc, or even UP and it’s not trying to be groundbreaking animation like wall e. It’s more down to earth and has a decent message to kids to never hide your true self and always be yourself no matter what people think. Ngl this was a hell of a lot better than raya 😂. The films depiction of Italy is spot on along with the story being about friendship and acceptance of those who are different and making things better. This is honestly what Pixar is all about. They wanna create these amazing heartwarming stories with this beautiful animation. This film is pretty decent and I give it a 10/10 highly recommended it 👍

I really wanted to like this, but it’s not even close to some of the latest Disney movies (Coco, Moana, not to mention Soul). I didn’t mind the overplayed stereotypes (found some of them cute), but the plot was quite dull. Most annoying element is that the “evil” character in this movie makes absolutely no sense (does the town fear him? Do they make fun of him?). I did love Machiavelli the cat though!

When Disney & Pixar collaborates, it creates Magic! One of the best animated movies. The movie has all important aspects like fantasy, friendships, dream, fear, fun and happiness, struggle and some intense emotions that can tear up your eye. There are moments you gasp with disbelief and then there are moments where you root for the characters. A character-like element of "Vespa" makes it relatable and believable throughout. Must watch!

Something I noticed on my 4th viewing (maybe 5th idk I have watched this movie too many times to count) is the art in the credits right after the movie ends tells the story of their lives after the movie ends. Just thought it was a cool detail they added.

Pixar has done it again. Watched it twice in one week and loved every second. Beautiful animation and really captured the small towns in Italy. However I wish the characters spoke actual Italian that fit the situation rather than saying "mozzarella" over and over again.

Slight but suffused with infectious joy, the beguiling Luca proves Pixar can play it safe while still charming audiences of all ages.

Luca is not the best Pixar movie, but definitely has the heartwarming vibe that the studio always bring to the screen. It is a cute friendship story and show how to respect differences.

I expect this film will grow on me, but on first viewing it was just a nice little film. I appreciate that Pixar are telling smaller stories and that their art style is now more stylised. Just lovely atmosphere

I love the moments that while we're really thinking that animations are made for kisd , they picture adult's life . Great animation and full of adventure.

I love this movie so much. It’s so adorable and beautifully animated. The characters are lovable even when they make mistakes you see where they’re coming from. This is a quiet story meaning there’s no real big bad but that simplicity is frankly what I love about it.

Beautiful movie. Full of emotional messages and an amazing portrait of the coming out/getting to know yourself experience. The only real problem to address is not with the movie itself but with Disney making a movie about a queer story without actually making it queer, knowing that the LGBTQ+ community/open-minded people will see it but the conservative side will not. All in all, is amazing and inspiring but we still have a long way to go.

Simple, charming, fun. That’s it. That’s all this movie is and that’s all it wants to be. It’s not a think piece or a heartbreaking existential experience. Just two fish bros, chillin in the ocean. Five feet apart cause disney won’t let them be gay.

What a fun fast paced film. The message is as cliche as it gets. But the delivery is as good as it gets.
