This took up almost the entirety of my yesterday; watching, rewinding, telling my friends about it, and videoing clips to send to people! It was that good. Had me ๐๐๐๐๐๐. โ๏ธ And this was a good one to have my surround sound on for - the opening scene and music = ๐ Honestly the entire production was brilliantly done; cinematography, scoring, editing, storytelling, information, and interviews. All done so well! ๐๐ผ Iโm shocked, baffled, and horrified at the facts in this documentary.. also Iโve learned so much! ๐ค Seriously fascinating! But also so important to just know. I had no idea the fishing industry was so horrendous, cruel, apathetic, and controlling. ๐ฅ I am at least grateful that Iโve always been a vegetarian and accidentally avoided helping this ๐ ๐๐ผ๐ณ and donโt have to make any big life diet changes! But this is a must watch, seriously. SO interesting. How when whales surface to breathe, they fertilise phytoplankton, which absorb 4x more CO2 than amazon rainforest, which generates up to 85% of oxygen we breathe. ๐ฌ Cray. Necessity for each food chain is ๐ฌ๐จ interesting, how losing one would subsequently kill whole ocean life ๐ฆ ๐ And how much fish feel pain.. and fear, seeing their friends killed in front of them. Ugh. My heart. Iโm ๐ก๐จ๐ซ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ข๐๐ at Japan and its whaling, the killing of dolphins purely as pest control because they eat fish.. the amount of fish and mammals killed and discarded because they werenโt the target fish. Moment by moment Iโm ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐. My mouth was constantly agape. ๐ง The Grindadrรกp, Faroe Islands, actually had me crying; it was horrendous. ๐ฏ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐. ๐๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ฃ๐ข๐ฃ๐บ ๐ญ Iโm so sad and against it. Awful. ๐ซ ๐๐ฐ many issues all down to the fishing trade; including animals near extinction, piracy, murder, trafficking, plastic pollution, global warming, even ebola. And even our taxes fund this? And could save world hunger? ๐๐ณ๐ฆ๐ต๐ต๐บ ๐ค๐ณ๐ข๐ป๐บ. Actually on the topic; I recently found the campaign โMake My Money Matterโ (.co.uk) and it shows how our pensions could be funding tobacco, arms, fossil fuels, gambling, deforestationโฆ wonder what I'm secretly funding ๐ฌ Hard to be honouring in your money when even your government isn't. ๐ฐ This doc here is the true story of greed and consequences. Prime example was how theft of fish docks inadvertently caused ebola outbreak, I mean ๐คฏ. But the world is run by money.. and so are the companies claiming to protect the planet. Shocker. Hope something changes; especially for this beautiful world we have.

Shocking! It just reminds you not to believe everything you are told or the fact that you are just not given all of the information. Actually very sad to watch knowing these animals are being killed intentionally by both humans and plastics. The fact that these organisations were able to justify themselves is disgraceful. "If you want to address climate change the first thing you do is protect the ocean and the solution to that is simple leave it alone"

It's shocking, an eye-opener and definitely one of those Must See documentaries! I had no idea and I'm very glad that somebody made this movie.

Interesting and super important topic but it just didnโt feel quite thoroughly researched and it had the feeling of a low budget production that received a lot of media hype. I also found a lot of their infographics infuriating and really gave the impression of a journalist trying to drive sensation rather than sound and logical argumentation: โall the fishing strings in the sea can go around the world xx thousand timesโโฆ Thatโs impossible to relate to! Is that a lot? Compared to what? Interesting watch but the production and storyline was lacking

Broke my heart. I honestly didnโt know how misleading those labels could be. Thought I was doing a good thing. The human species never ceases to amaze me on the lengths they will go to earn a buck. I really hope we can turn this around.

iโm shocked. this is a MUST WATCH!!!! i knew that there was a problem with commercial fishing but i has no idea that it was that bad and must worse that plastic in the ocean. itโs completely insane that the amount of fishing net set everyday can wrap around earth 500 times!? save the ocean ๐ seriously ๐

I will keep this simple! I will never again eat or serve fish for others !

Fuck everything else and Watch it!!!!โค๏ธ Just made me realise how we, humans are affecting our mother nature and the eco-biological balance by extensive sea-food consumption around the globe.

Provocative and giving food for thought. You will not agree with everything, but still good teasing

THIS is the shit that happens every day everywhere on this planet and every person on this earth has a right and needs to know that. It is so ridiculous how the industry tries to lie and manipulate the consumers and get away with that. For me itโs unbelievable. And everybody should know where their food comes from and how itโs made and under which circumstances. It is literally so damn important to be informed because nowadays you canโt trust nobody. Everyone tries to sell you lies packaged in a box covered with so many nice words and seals that you canโt even tell the differenceโฆ itโs so sad and frustrating to see what people with power and money do to get even mire power and moneyโฆ this documentary literally just made me even more upset at the humanity. Like trigger warning just watch this if you can handle great anger and frustration and a heavy heart, otherwise try to inform yourself in other ways, but this is a good way to get really much information packed into just one film. Highly recommend watching bc this stuff NEEDS to be general knowledge in my opinion 9.5/10 (bc some parts where too dramatically underlined for my taste and the right parts werenโt as dramatic as they should have been)

Very important to watch it. Modern times require a deeper consciousness about the earth and our role on it.

Iโm at the point where I donโt really cook meat or fish for environmental reasons but I felt eh about this. The structure was a little all over the place and some of the metrics seemed questionable

10 humans are killed by sharks each year, in comparison humans kill 11.000-30.000 sharks PER HOUR ๐ฉ๐ฆ
