I honestly didn't know what i was getting myself into. I saw all the high praises for it and I thought it was like a drama about Princess Diana. In a way it kinda Is but it has so much to offer than just a character study. Pablo Larrain everyone who was involved in this crafted such a beautiful and haunting film that was really up my alley. This movie sometimes felt like a psychological horror movie. I felt so sorry for Diana. I know it's protocol and she's royalty but damn! All the supporting cast did really well with their subtle performances. Nobody stuck out in particular but I don't think they really needed to either. This is hands down the Kristen Stewart show. She did amazing in her portrayal. This movie and Underwater(2020) is really making me like her all around. A watch that was definitely worth my time.

I wasn’t expecting such a slow moving story, but I appreciated that pace for once. It really provides a deep insight into the mind of Princess Diana during this Christmas she spent with the royal family at the Sandringham Estate. The scene where Diana is speaking to William and Harry as they play soldiers was wonderful; probably my favorite scene in the entire film. Kristen Stewart really shines in this role and there’s absolutely no wonder as to why she’s been nominated for this year’s Oscars; she honestly might be my choice for the best actress award this year!

Incredible display of what severe anxiety feels like. This movie was rough to watch in that my heart just broke for her over and over. I can't imagine that extreme level of being controlled, let alone acting like she's crazy for not just falling in line. And weighing someone with an eating disorder for "tradition" killed me. Acting is amazing, especially Stewart's. Beautifully shot and gorgeous costumes. Music really powerful, sometimes a little too much but that fits the mood of discomfort. I can't help but wonder how much is true versus how much is imagined to create the sensation and empathy with Diana and her pain and anxiety. The small win at the end was surprisingly cathartic and helped to balance an otherwise dark tragedy.

They gave her the ending that she deserved! Yet this movie is not for me. I completely understand what they tried to do, and did it really well for that matter, still it felt really slow and draggy at some point, esp. by the end. Kristen Stewart has come a long way since Twilight and has definitely grown as an actress

Kristen Stewart’s raw portrayal of the late Princess Diana of Wales is a gem. I was completely captivated by her throughout the whole film. She absolutely deserved Best Actress if Jessica Chastain weren’t nominated this year. My favorite scene has to be the confrontation with Charles at the pool table. The way that Stewart channels her frustration never fails to hit my heart. And although Steven Wright’s screenplay isn’t totally accurate, he & director Pablo Larraín achieve success in bringing awareness to the mental health of the people we look up to, which we should never forget to consider.

I was on a 12 hour flight and spent the entirety of this film knowing that staring at a blank screen would have been more enjoyable. The sound track could be used for torture and the vapid character made me hate Diana. Which is exactly what they were trying to avoid.

Pablo Larraín's Spencer Is Beautiful, Haunting & Flawed Heavy-handed and unnecessarily long, Spencer explores Diana as a prisoner of the royal family in heart-wrenching and beautifully haunting fashion.

Princess Diana’s disastrous marriage makes a magnificent farce Kristen Stewart’s entirely compelling Di has no escape from the dress-up game of monarchy in Pablo Larraín’s unreverential movie.

December, 1991: The Prince and Princess of Wales’ marriage has long since grown cold. Though rumoursof affairs and a divorce abound, peace is ordained for the Christmas festivities at Sandringham Estate. There's eating and drinking, shooting and hunting. Diana knows the game. This year, things will be a whole lot different.

Kristen did a great job portraying Diana, she has the natural awkwardness that Suited Diana in this. I just found myself waiting for the story to get going, then it ended! This film just wasn’t for me.

I thought it was very dramatic, but I believe they did a great job showing an insight of what may have happened in a powerful and imaginative way. I've always liked Kristen Stewart and this was her impressive role yet!

Kristen Stewart was loose, shakey and a nervous wreck. And it was amazing. A performance that really captured the eery tone of the movie and the tragic life of Princess Diana. It is not bias towards or against her whatsoever which is respectable considering many thought this movie would be. I wish they went a different direction in the movie and expanded the timeline. I would have loved to see Stewart in other memorable scenes and memories of Princess Di. Movie overall was not the best but is saved by Stewart

7.3/10 Like the first title card suggested, it is a lore based on reality. Nobody really knows what went through Princess’ mind at those crucial days, maybe not even herself. She had to run, far away from this glamorous looking golden cage. Kristen Stewart’s best performance to date, at one point she becomes Spencer, she felt her pain.

It’s good and there are moments where her mental struggle makes sense but I think it could have done more to really make the viewer understand how disorientating it is, so we understand and sympathise with her rather than the other characters

I'd heard terrible reviews from friends but thought I would give it a try. Agreed it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it was mine. It's an interpretation drama of a woman on the edge...knowing she's completely trapped but finding tiny fragments of joy as her world crumbles around her. I found it very gripping, even though not much happened! It's a film about a feeling and, if you're open to let it in, it's an absorbing portrayal of Diana.

Very well done, when remembering its just one weekend at a very tough time.. Too focused on her mental health and fragility, as opposed to her achievements and strengths. Could have done a lot more with the opportunity

I was bored out of my mind, plus most of it didn’t really make sense. Kristen Stewart’s acting was abominable, and i don’t know why is that ‘cause I’ve seen her in other film and actually appreciated her job. There were some beautiful scenes but I don’t think they were enough to save this film for me.
