Broken people save broken people. Man this movie just shook my heart away for straight 1 hour 40 minutes. Jake Gyllenhaal has just simply nailed at his performance in this movie. I seriously couldn't get over with. Please, do have a watch of this one. If you can have a feel of this movie, you'll find that many things just from the start untill the end is incoherent. The amount of psycology of someone which had an affect on a person whose already dealing with issues in his life is just so true to life. And ofcourse then when you add Jake Gyllenhaal in that and make the production quality upto the standards of a Netflix produced movie, you know that the end result will be just worth watching every second of it. A perfect thriller movie for your weekends.

đŁ Top user review: For those who don't know The Guilty (2021) is a remake of an original Danish film directed by Gustav Möller called The Guilty (2018) "Original Title is Den Skyldige". I watched the original danish film first and then the remake and writing this review without comparing them to each other is impossible. The remake is "EXACTLY" like the original. No changes occurred in the story or the script which is very great because I feel like adding new things to that story would've ruined this remake. I really enjoyed the original and I gave the original the same rating as this one (8/10) because they both are the exact same so it doesn't make sense if i gave one a higher rating than the other. I was concerned about that remake but had a little bit of hope that it would be good just because I imagined Jake Gyllenhaal in that role and after watching it, I knew that I was right about that.

Jake Gyllenhaal is an exceptional actor. Story is a little weak in areas but this one man film just highlights what an incredible actor he is

must be an extremely low budget film haha but interesting and well executed, but did loose me a little towards the end, interesting plot twist though!! Gyllenhaal is always amazing

The Guilty is another Americanized remake overshadowed by the original, but its premise is still sturdy enough to support a tense, well-acted thriller.

Jakeâs acting was extraordinary, but I couldnât connect with the movie & itâs not gripping enough as it should have been ..

What a joke. All you think this entire movie is. Wow you can tell this movie was made during COVID! He stays in one room. You only see him almost the entire movie. Hahah no contact people! One actor only for movies during COVID! Smh.

Great acting, but the movie didn't really do it for me. Made me think of The Call with Halle Berry minus any action, as the whole thing took place in the call center.

Jake Gyllenhaalâs aggressive performance makes the movie more than worthwhile. The conclusion isnât unexpected, at least for those paying attention, would be reasonably predictable. It has got a tensed atmosphere going throughout the movie that makes it a decent watch đŻ

Bloody brilliant. I've been watching a few flicks with Jake in recently and truly coming to appreciate what a powerhouse actor he is. Fantastically stressful and immersive even though it's pretty much all Jake in one office.

honestly super boring, parents fell asleep halfway. i think very brave attempt to keep 98% of the movie in one setting, it really limits the number of shots that the movie can have and it really tests the actor's ability to bring the story across. jake gyllenhall did a great job but in terms of plot it felt really boring to me. wouldnt rewatch again.

I mean it wasn't bad. I don't think it would have even been a decent anything at all had it not been for Jake Gyllenhaal's solid acting. Scratched it off the list and won't be looking back on it.

Dial R for Redemption Jake Gyllenhaal plays an imploding 911 operator in this riveting remake.

Very clever, moving film. Raw emotion portrayed by Gylenhall was simply outstanding. Reminds of his turn in jarhead. This is the sort of film that proves you donât need a massive budget and special effects to make a good film. Well worth a watch

Good movie and twist in between ... But felt some parts were overly stretched for adding drama ... acting was too good though

Absolute powerhouse of performances, if you're reading this, I'm guessing you're thinking whether to watch this or not, go for it. This movie might go down as one of the best in Jake Gyllenhaal's career, not just Jake but every single actor behind the scenes with just their voices have made this movie what it is, A piece of art. Much Much Recommended

Jake Gyllenhaalâs tense 911 call thriller A glossy Netflix remake of the 2018 single-location Danish thriller about a kidnapped woman seeking help is a well-made piece of entertainment.

I know that we have plenty of movies like this, but man this is insanely intense. Jake Gyllenhaal nailed it again. Easily one of the top thiller movie of the year..

Fuqua's 2021 Remake Doesnât Hold A Candle To The Original Without offering anything particularly interesting or nuanced, The Guilty still has enough to keep audiences engaged and on the edge of their seats.

Call operator Joe Baylor (Jake Gyllenhaal) tries to save a caller in grave dangerâbut he soon discovers that nothing is as it seems, and facing the truth is the only way out.

A good script underselled by a director that doesn't know any better than shoving the camera in Gyllenhaal's face and let him do all the job.

The acting in this film is incredible. I loved the style of the movie itself, almost like a radio drama rather than a film (in that most of the action takes place off screen), but it's completely engaging and sucks you in from the first time the woman calls. I also really appreciated the twists involved. I less appreciated how ridiculously over invested the main character was without any consequence, including asking a fellow officer to break multiple laws, despite him already being on probation. The ending didn't quite come together for me either.. I think they were trying to draw parallels that weren't there. The result felt sloppy and was a disservice to how good the rest of the plot was. Overall, I'm glad I watched it and I really enjoyed the twists in the story, but it's not one I'll be singing the praises of or going out of my way to recommend.

Creating a captivating film that follows just one protagonist, in one setting, during the span of 2 hours is difficult and yet surprisingly executed perfectly here. Though it has always been evident that Jake Gyllenhaal is an incredible actor, he outdoes himself here and creates such a believable and captivating atmosphere that leaves you on the edge of you seat from the first minute. I definitely recommend this film to anyone skeptical of watching it.

It was as intense as a movie can get. Only concern is that it was stretched a little more than it shouldâve been.

The Movie is Really Awesome. Shot in Just 13 Days on just 3 sets... Jake Gyllenhaal Just Killed It With His Acting... It is 90 Minutes of Him Showing His Skill... The Story is Good... But Dialogues are Great... It is one of a kind thriller film... Must Watch...

Kept moving between 6 & 7, but ultimately went with 7 purely due to the fact that this movie is still thrilling despite being filmed in one place the entire time.

Jake Gyllenhaal delivers a raw, passionate performance. The movie was intense however, was limited to itâs lack of locations inside the LAPD department call office. Entertaining to say the least and great despite its low budget

An hour and a half of amazing acting with a predictable yet somehow still shocking plot twist.

Entertaining and suspenseful. Gyllenhaal does a nice job carrying the entire film. At first Iâm confused about his anger but it becomes obvious it stems from guilt. A good film.
