If you didn’t know you wouldn’t think that this is a marvel production. Recently marvel provided us with many show’s and short‘s out of their typical superhero genre and they served again!! Werewolf by night felt dark, old, mystical and gave us a glimpse into the mystical world of marvels monsters.

What an awesome time! I really had fun with this, even if it did feel like a massive lore dump in such a short timeframe. Well let’s begin talking about this, spoilers ahead. The Bloodstone. One of the most powerful gems in all of Marvel Comics has arrived and we’ve seen the impacts it can have on monsters, specifically Man-Thing and Werewolf. I have a feeling that this object could come into major play throughout the MCU, especially if we see more monsters in the world. Next up, I want to talk about Man-Thing. Holy crap, his CGI was awesome. Say whatever you want, but this feels so good and I’m glad that we’ve finally seen our second Man-Thing on screen now. I loved watching him get some kills while also showing so much genuine heart. I hope we get an origin story for him soon! Next comes the titular character of this special: Werewolf. Jack Russell presents himself as a monster hunter to the world, however he’s truly a monster in disguise. I was dying to see Jack’s transformation into Werewolf, but I’m glad we got it when we did as it didn’t feel overused. Again, I’m excited to see how his role in the MCU evolves moving forward! Finally we’ve got the legendary Elsa Bloodstone. Seeing her cunning intelligence and well-trained fighting skills on display was exactly what I expected for this character and I think we got a good taste of the character. Now that she’s the holder of the Bloodstone itself, I have no clue what will happen, but I’m excited to see how she fits into the MCU! Overall, I’m incredibly pleased with this! It’s a bit slow-going to start and there’s a ton of lore that is just tossed in without a lot of background or explanation. I really think a 90 minute film could’ve fixed some of these issues, but for the MCU’s first holiday special, I’ll give it a pass.

Such a classic-like movie with a brilliant idea behind.

I liked it a lot, especially those brutal killings. I can't believe Disney allowed them for those killing scenes.

Less than an hour long I felt this was rushed. A little more time and I feel the story could have developed more making it better.

AWESOME!! The visuals are F***ing amazing. I wish it would have went deeper into lore. You’re sort of dropped into the middle of the story after a brief run through.

Pleasantly surprised, much like the earlier episodes of Wandavision this is very heavily stylised. It’s clear everyone involved wanted to be there, and since it’s a one episode special the story doesn’t feel padded out with filler

It's funny to me that this TV special mange to a better classic Universal monster movie than what Universal Pictures has done with their own. It's a great love letter to those films and the Era they came out. Werewolf by Night is among the most unique projects Marvel Studios has done. Well acted, beautiful cinematography, the black and white look, interesting lore involving the supernatural side of the Marvel Universe, the characters, and the music. The only criticism I have, it’s not long enough, and that's about it. I hope to see more of these Marvel special down the road.

Good one. Simple and unique to watch. Marvel using the old comedy style which was great. Nothing much to horror. Expecting more of this in future!
