Chema’s Filmography

As (uncredited). A 1977 Spanish drama film directed by Juan Antonio Bardem that won the Golden Prize the 10th Moscow International Film Festival.

As Paco. Two former students of a strict religious school decide to return there during the summer holidays to make those who were their teachers experience all the suffering they experienced as students, beginning a sinister game in which the buried violence, the dark traumas of the past and the desire to heal old wounds will lead them to an unexpected climax.

As (as José María Muñoz). In the summer of 1977, a political prisoner, living in exile, recounts the circumstances of his escape to a journalist: in April 76, a group of ETA members planned to escape from prison, but the project fails when, due to a tip-off, the guards discover the tunnel they are digging. The inmates, far from being discouraged, start a second tunnel.

As Javier. Dramatic portrait of men and women discouraged in the midst of the Spanish Civil War, after the odyssey of a group of Republican soldiers trying to reach the east coast to go into exile. Agustín must bear that his libertine father lives with the ironer Remedios, although she does not love him. She escapes and he goes to war; when they finally meet again, anxious amid bursts, it will be impossible to consummate their desires repressed for so long.

As Horacio. Miranda, a sex addict, works for a radio station and is married to a cop. She signs up for therapy in order to deal with her sex addiction. Also in the group is Javier, a sex-phone junkie. The two misfits hit it off and a torid affair ensues. But things get a little complicated when Javier finds out that this phone sex trysts have been secretly taped and being distributed all over Madrid, and that his ex-wife is living with his business partner. Elsewhere, while investigating a murder case, Felix discovers Miranda's affair with Javier.

Executive producer. King Carlos II of Spain (r. 1665-1700) once sent his brother Luis to lead a military expedition into Albania and conquer that land for the Spaniards. Since Albania was a part of the dowry of Luis' wife, it seemed like a reasonable idea at the time. While that expedition and its final battle is the subject of this historical film, the scale involved can hardly do justice to the concept. The protagonists talk incessantly, and by the time they get down to the final grand battle, it turns out to be a skirmish between several dozen men.

As Joaquín. Miguel Hermoso's Like Lightning offers a fresh take on a familiar scenario, the teenaged boy searching for his unknown father. Pablo is a typical teen, with a fondness for football and sneaking beers with his buddies. He enjoys a comfortable upper-middle class life with his mother (Assumpta Serna), a successful lawyer and former feminist rabble-rouser, but has a gaping hole at the core of his identity: he has no idea who his father is. Preoccupied with the question to the point of obsession, he sets out in search of answers, and finds himself on a trail that leads to the Canary Islands.

Executive producer. Martín (Zoe Berriatúa) is a teenager living in the San Blas district of Madrid. He is upset with his father Arturo (Imanol Arias) because he blames him for his mother's death. With the help of his girlfriend África (Elena Anaya), who will become his stepsister, he tries to get revenge on him.

As Doctor. Meeting of two very different brothers: Carlos is an ambitious young businessman happily married to Julia, Toni is a nerve that life has given him so many sticks as the people who surrounded him.
