This was **EXCELLENT** Hilarious teen movie that was so different from your classic teen movie. Brilliant varied plot line, that takes many unexpected turns. And some surprisingly deep messages peppered throughout.
This was *suuuuch* a good book. Written by an ex-al qaeda bomb maker, who defects at a young age and becomes an MI6 double agent. His identity was later compromised, and he now lives in the UK with a fatwa over his head - and this is his story.
The book is structured around his 9 lives, all close calls to death at different phases. It brings to life the history of terrorism groups pre-911 through to today, with his strong perspective on what drives it, and how to solve it. It’s clear he’s an incredibly remarkable man, who’s lived a remarkable life.
The concept of this is a 10. I feel so validated about feeling at peace with fewer tidied organized stuff 🧘♀️ And Marie Condo is delightful. But the show gets a little samey (formula = throw stuff out, be zen)
I’ve been in a bit of a Bravo-Reality-TV hole recently but it’s such good background TV for the end of the day, as you crack out those last pieces and become brain dead.
Vanderpump is great, based on a group of servers at a restaurant in LA, you get to know the characters across all the season, and the unbelievable things they do (if there’s a rumor they cheated on someone - they absolutely did cheat on someone).
Good movie - enjoyed it and didn’t fall asleep (uncommon for me…). Almost an 8 but the ending knocks it down to a 7. I really wanted to see the impact of the decision they made and that was all left unsaid.
It also relies pretty heavily on you being knowledgeable about the 2007 financial crisis and the inner workings of finance
This totally blew through my expectations... it could have so been a cheesy low-content get together but it was SO much better and really tapped into the nostalgic sentiment of the time.
I laughed out loud, danced and cried all in one. It brilliantly had the cast reminisce about the 10 years they were shooting together, with clips of the funniest parts, games, packed with celebrities and bringing back all the additional characters (Janice! Gunther!). We did spend a fair amount of time discussing who’s plastic surgery looks better than others... Rachel >> Monica....
Did an incredible job of bringing you right back to where you were when you watched friends every week. ‘The time in your life when your friends are your family’ ❤️❤️
Delicious sushi and cocktails in Brickell. We had a feast of salmon and tuna sushi, miso cod, bao buns - with sake/elderflower cocktails.
Excellent find @JimmySong. @MarkusMarañonStraarup right by your place 👍
VERY cool venue which must be modeled around a music festival with 2 stages: one indoors one outdoors, bunch of art cars, super deep long-build music, acrobatic dancers, food trucks around the outside. Had a great night dancing under the stars with a really friendly crowd. Also it feels so good to go out again.
So the beginning of this I screamed out loud several times and thought I was in for a RIDE. Seriously the bit when the grandma runs at you is full on terrifying. But then it just gets ridiculous- and a super far fetched plot that seems to go too fast and doesn’t really make any logical sense.
