Paradise City
2021 . Drama, Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Music

The soundtrack is a bomb. I'm going to wait for the second season to give my final verdict. Definitely from the fourth chapter improves but I feel lazy compared to the movie. Too bad about Cameron.

Black Mirror: Bandersnatch
2018 . Science Fiction, Mystery, Drama, Thriller, TV Movie

image8

It was amazing to see a concept that I already thought and concocted in my mind (Jerome F. Davis's book) come to fruition in a series. I'll definitely play the game and watch Black Mirror (yes, I haven't yet). I loved the symbolism, and although in my opinion it lacked more plot I really know that they went to great lengths to put all of this there. Netflix made it big that time. SPOILER. PS: My favorite ending is where he takes the rabbit his father hid and dies going with her. I feel like it was a way to resolve that trauma. Sad, I know, but he won't feel guilt anymore. His death is quite symbolic, he just closes his eyes without complaint. Amazing.

The Matrix
1999 . Action, Science Fiction

image10

I find it exciting, masterful, revealing. As it happens at a very fast pace, its immense philosophical content sometimes escapes in the different dialogues, there is no time to digest such excellence at such speed (philosophy always requires calm and rest of attention). It is a work of art, one of those that generate discernment, revisionism of one's own life, the courage to change, which hugs to be oneself and to save one's life from the "matrix" in which we find ourselves piled up, enslaved, consumed, dehumanized.

Bugsy
1991 . Crime, Drama, Mystery

image7

Really enjoyable, but it must have had a sequel and didn't tell a pretty dense story all the time. The end is abrupt, the denouement is understood but it is too fast to even feel it.

Spider-Man
2002 . Fantasy, Action

Tobey's Spider-man is my favorite. I really had a good time reliving this movie. Very entertaining.

The Midnight Gospel
2020

image10

I think I will never see a series as empathetic, benign and intuitive as "The midnight gospel." Without a doubt, it is a series that I recommend. I consider that it is a fair audiovisual to be able to perceive all these questions that arise to us as human beings. Because sometimes one gets lost there, without the body, without the soul, in confusion; we just need to recognize ourselves in everything else. This series leaves me, in addition to a few more questions, with a full feeling, that although I think about it, the feeling that I know the answer, whether there is or not. And that is living.

Bridget Jones's Baby
2016 . Comedy, Romance

image4

Despite being a movie where laughter prevails sooner or later, it is undoubted that there are already many things that you expect and that it is very difficult to overcome the first installment.

Sabrina
1954 . Comedy, Drama, Romance

image5

It is incredible how from such a simple and hackneyed argument (two brothers fall in love with the same woman), Wilder knows how to get something better, not excellent. From this film all those who try to write romantic comedies nowadays and stay in kitsch should learn.

The Butterfly's Dream
2013 . Drama, History

image7

The symbology related to butterflies, the transition from larva to insect and its parallel between life and death, takes on various meanings and scenes in this film. Simply wonderful. PS: My mother cried.

Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason
2004 . Comedy, Romance

image4

Entertaining but not funny. The first movie is better.

The Da Vinci Code
2006 . Thriller, Mystery

Very interesting. It really keeps you on your toes.

Bridget Jones's Diary
2001 . Comedy, Romance, Drama

Pride and Prejudice in the 90s. Very funny.

Angels & Demons
2009 . Thriller, Mystery

I definitely have to read the book. Very good.

Dangerous Liaisons
1988 . Drama, Romance

image6

This Valmont is the most cynical, mendacious and fearsome of all those seen so far in images. He is the one whose pulse trembles the least when it comes to destroying his true love - because he is the most incapable of recognizing it - and the one who best hides his lies - because he is the only one who says "I can't help it" to Madame Tourvel in person with no other gesture of compassion towards her than to turn away his, deep down, regretful gaze.
