Bridesmaids
2011 . Comedy, Romance

Melissa McCarthy is the backbone of this movie

How the Grinch Stole Christmas
2000 . Family, Comedy, Fantasy

image10

Honestly this movie never gets old. It’s a hilarious take on an older classic, and Jim Carey is excellent. I can’t imagine what went into building the set for this

Good Will Hunting
1997 . Drama

image10

One of the best movies ever made. If you don’t think this then you are simply wrong.

Fantastic documentary about the US women’s soccer team and their fight for equal pay

Spotlight
2015 . Drama, Thriller, History

image9

So well done. The Globe is a fantastic newspaper with top-notch talent. Spotlight did a really good job of showing how much Boston and the Catholic Church are connected. Trust me. There’s a church on every corner

Framing Britney Spears
2021 . Documentary

image9

The New York Times did an amazing job of documenting an issue that was hidden from the public for so many years. It was obvious that she became the family cash cow and that the conservatorship was not used correctly. I hope that she can gain her independence and live a more normal life and take agency over her career and family.

Requiem for a Dream
2000 . Crime, Drama, Thriller

image8

If you want to keep your kids off drugs, this is the movie to show them. Heck, one could argue that it should be shown in schools. There would be absolute outrage from the parents, and some of the administration would be fired, but you can’t say it wouldn’t be effective

Oprah with Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special
2021 . Documentary, TV Movie

image8

Wow, this interview spilled more tea than the colonists did in the American Revolution. Jokes aside, the royal family is an age-old institution, and the dynamic there seems incredibly complicated. That said, it was really really sad to hear that Meghan was having a horrible time and was denied the help she needed—not to mention that the comment about Archie’s skin color was disgusting. It was also upsetting to hear that Harry lost his security. For comparison, US presidents don’t lose access to the secret service after their term is over, unless they’re convicted of impeachment. It also felt very reminiscent to what happened to Diana, and you would think every one in that family would do whatever they could to prevent history from repeating itself. I hope that at least some members of the families can sit down and work things out for their own sanity. It would be a shame if Archie and his new sister were to grow up isolated from some of their extended family

Citizen Kane
1941 . Mystery, Drama

I get that Charlie Kane is supposed to be a complicated character, but I feel like his problems could have been solved today by just going to therapy
img
Hillbilly Elegy
2020 . Drama

image8

I’m not really sure why Rotten Tomatoes only gave this a 3. I thought this was really well done

Knives Out
2019 . Comedy, Drama, Crime, Mystery

Great movie, funny, exciting and keeps you on your toes
img
Molly's Game
2017 . Crime, Drama

image7

I really liked this film. Molly Bloom is a very interesting character, and it dives deep into the underground world of celebrity gambling.
img
Nocturnal Animals
2016 . Drama, Thriller

image6

It was ok. A little weird tbh and I think it could have been told better
img
Fifty Shades Darker
2017 . Drama, Romance

@KerryFlynn and I went to go see this in the theater and laughed our asses off at every serious part while this salty woman gave us dirty looks. I also remember my nana called me before we went into the theater, and when she asked me what we were seeing I panicked and said la la land
