Another fun and cute read. Slow burn friends to lovers, which I did enjoy but had potential to be so much better… it became a little annoying towards the end And the story itself dragged quite a bit but other than that it’s sweet romance story that’s perfect for summer reading.
The story of this book is great, very important and interesting and had me really intrigued. I was not a fan of the writing style though. It dragged in some parts and didn’t dive into the characters or their development as much as it could have. I felt myself longing for more throughout… It has potential for more I think!
TJR is a phenomenal writer!! Malibu Rising had me addicted!! The dynamics of the Riva siblings, the setting of the story and especially the characters themselves were just intoxicating. I also loved the writing style and the fun connections to TJR’s other characters set in L.A. at this time too! There will 100% be a reread in the next year or so for me!
Wow! TJR left me speechless again with this book. The writing style, the characters, the overall story…! It was so captivating and such a phenomenal book!! I’m already looking forward to reading it again when I can!
Possibly the greatest book I have read my entire life so far. I couldn’t go through the day without thinking of this story!! It was so hooking, the characters were incredible and I loved every second of it. I wish I could read it for the first time again!!! I’m already excited to read it again!! Left me speechless.
This book was a rollercoaster!! I was hooked, obsessed with the romance and then boom, plot twist and I could not put this book down. I think Colleen Hoover handled the topic incredibly well and in a beautiful way. I can’t wait for It Starts with Us!
Fun and enjoyable read, cute rom com and a handful of cliches. I liked the characters, the surprise spice was nice, the romance was good but it was lacking more excitement for me. It was hard to believe Olive’s blindness to Adam’s feelings and the constant messy lies were unnecessary in my opinion. However, it was still a fun and quick rom com.
A fantastic cheesy rom com! I really enjoyed the love story of these two characters. It had so many cliche and was cringe in some parts but I enjoyed every page of this book. It could’ve done with some of the cringe but the story makes up for it.
I’ve loved every TJR book I’ve ever read but this one fell slightly short from the high standard. The story was great, I definitely found myself excited to turn the page to the next chapter but I also feel like there was something missing!
This book had my heart breaking all throughout but still had me appreciating the love and romance so much. It handles grief and loss incredibly well and I loved the setting for it. Despite the heartbreak, I found it to be a cosy read and it was hard to put down.
I like the premise of this story but I have very mixed feelings on this book! In the beginning I wasn’t too caring or fussed for the book. By the middle of the book I found myself excited and rooting for Marianne and Connell… but come the end that seemed to fall off again and I was just glad I had finished it. It was a decent book but it has room to be more excitable and enjoyable.
