This place is good for a slow weekend brunch, not for a workday lunch. Service was slow and kind of confused.
The selection and menu had some really cool items. Basically something for every palate. The the sandwich was both big and really good - often it’s one and not the other 😆
Giving it an 8 given that you have time to take it sloooooow when you visit.
Really cool spot filled with loads of different healthy and fresh options.
The interior also has a really nice chill vibe. Buy a young coconut 🥥 for a super refreshing drink and you get to walk around with an actual coconut and look like a total tourist.
A great follow up to “The Hate U Give”, even though this takes place earlier. Teenage pregnancy, love, drugs, gangs, coming of age are all central themes.
In and of itself it was a great book, but it made me appreciate “The Hate U Give” much more as well.
Read this after you finish “The Hate U Give”
This book was really fantastic! A compelling story that in some ways reminded me of Educated. One of the main themes is also every day racial injustice. Really well written. Definitely read!
I am now reading Concrete rose which is the prequel.
Really cool Miami vibe here. It has the feel of an urban oasis smack dab in the middle of highways and construction.
Drinks are great, and 2$ happy hour oysters hit the spot.
