This hip West Loop kitchen puts the focus on vegetables which come wood-grilled, house-smoked and even fermented on a seasonal menu capped off by inventive, sweet-meets-savory desserts. Low-alcohol cocktails and natural wines issue from the bar in the stylish, earth-toned setting replete with wood, stone, brick and leather.

Heisler Hospitality’S Plant-Centric Eatery Has Blossomed Into A Restaurant Row Powerhouse. Chicagoans Have Embraced Executive Chef Dan Snowden’S Cooking And Shown That It’S Not Just A Meat And Potatoes Kind Of Town. A Majority Of Veggie Burgers Are Sad Imitations That Miss The Mark, But The Bad Hunter Burger Is A Bombshell. It Packs Two Black Bean Patties Sandwiched By Oozy Cheddar, Tomato Jam, Onions, Lettuce, And Mustard Aioli. Even Carnivores Will Agree It’S A Revelation. Note: Bad Hunter Is Currently Closed After A Fire.

A little overly into itself, but you’ll find things on the menu that you’ve never experienced. Buzzy-but-not-raucous environment, great service, and a good place for dates.

Vegetarian-forward restaurant (but they still have meat). Sunbutter toast and butter dumplings were amazing. Solid heirloom tomato salad, veggie burger was meh. Cocktails a bit pretentious but good

Innovative and fresh. I imagine vegetarians would love this place. Enjoyed the trout, blistered cherry tomatoes and chickpea agnolotti
