📣 Top user review: Ted Lasso starts off with this bumbling fool as a new manager of an English Soccer team. Then the shows grows by introducing so many great characters with so much heart. I love the interplay between so many of the characters. The casting team is amazing -- great actors!

"As comforting as a buttery biscuit from a friend, Ted Lasso's sophomore season is a feel-good triumph that plays into the show's strengths while giving its supporting team more time on the pitch."

As a football (soccer) fan I found this a little bit of a caricature of UK life and the football community - the villain is over the top, the goofy sidekick is over the top and the bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, all-American coach is definitely over the top.
...that being said, I was completely won over. It is silly but it has heart and I readily devoured the first season. 🇺🇲⚽🇬🇧🍺
This show is not just about sports but it's more about how a great leader and coach can turn around lives

I can’t speak more highly about a show— do yourself a favor and stop what you’re doing and watch it! Witty, meaningful, laugh out loud/soul-wrenchingly perfect… a true masterpiece.
Crazy, but I’m enjoying it! How can ya not!
Just finished season 1, and I’ve updated my rating, because I loved it.
When I grow up, I wanna be like Ted!

An American football coach coaching English football? It’s great comedy and writing. You become addicted to the characters and wonder what will happen next.

Man oh man ! What an experience watching this beautiful art of a show. I mean these kinda work which show the life in a way that felt so much surreal to me.
Like I didn't had any sort of criteria before watching the show, because the fact that Apple has produced the show it would be worth watching, but my oh my it just exploded over my expectations, that too I expected nothing.
I mean what does it lacks, Two guys brought up from their homeland into a whole different country with a whole different culture, like mostly different everything. And the whole story of him (Ted Lasso) fitting in into it was just beautiful. Because it's often when you walk around the world with zero expectations and with no worry of what might happen during the journey is just amazing, because from that perspective, pretty much every little things will surprise you and excites you and will continue doing so while you're in that journey. The way you perceive life is just so different. And that's what Ted's journey is all about with his friend coach Beardo, which falls under the own story of a women's revenge on her ex-husband, and the coaching a premiere league football team which was lacking the true essence that's needed for a true and good sports. And various other things that'll excite you to binge watch this show at once.
The show is created at that level and placed at that stage where casting, storyline, character building, performance of the cast would be least of your concerns, the show is produced on next level. And for people like me these things doesn't matter really watching these type of shows.
I know some of the things were dramatised, too cringy, but that's the best part you'll not feel it too much in any time.
So I don't think I had to tell you people to watch it. I mean hell yeah you should definitely watch it. It's one of the best, well produced show, and very underrated I think. Do check out. And happy watching.

So I was SUPER excited for this! British-american combo? Comedy drama? About football so I could make my husband watch with me? Check check check
But it felt so cliche! Almost like an American interviewed a Brit about classic British things (cucumber sandwiches.... little red mini cars... calling people wankers....) and incorporated them excessively. Its probably like if you are Parisian and watch 'Emily in Paris'. That on top of the storyline being predictably from the onset - made it a bit of a disappointment.
But it was light hearted and fun escapism.

A series that makes you feel good and is not too intense. It definitely keeps you hooked to the storyline. A must watch.

Not what I was expecting, but in a good way. As a basketball coach of 27 years, who has been made to coach soccer the last 5, I cna identify with a lot of this story.
Major props for portraying a coach better than most shows. Most coaches are about growing the player and developing relationships within the team, not wins and losses. So many little things in this ring true, well done and a fun watch.
Shocking revelation was figuring out the female owner is the mean "shame" nun from game of thrones.... I knew I knew her from somewhere....

I rated this an 8 after a few episodes. Several more episodes into the show, I change it to 10. It has become an instant favorite of mine. I even dare draw some parallels back to the office, in terms of humor, relatability and emotions

Ted Lasso is the definition of not having it all together but still being wholesome. Really enjoyed this show.

A cheesy series that a little humor, a little sports, a little love story, and a lot predictable. Still it’s a feel good plot that keeps you coming back at the end of each episode.
