This is basically what I’ve been hoping for awhile. The only thing is I wish they did episodes that were canon. Eh, minor gripe.

I loved these little Star Wars shorts. The Anime pairing works so well and being non-canon allowed the creators to get creative and stay true to their roots. Some are stronger than others, but it’s an overall great experience for fans of Star Wars, Anime or especially if you enjoy both!

I feel like they tried to achieve too much in this series and unfortunately it left me feeling a little detached from most of the characters and plots. There were some triumphs for example: - the animation of episode 1 which brought Star Wars full circle back to its original inspiration - a collection of quite lovable characters who I'd love to see more of If I was basing this review solely on the design of the animation it would be way up there - some of the most beautiful scenes in the Star Wars universe!

I went into this with low expectations and came out entertained for the most part. Some of the stories are very repetitive and some of the same beats and even plot points. The stories were pretty tame I kinda wish they would of really went there with some of them. I like how the shorts had different animation ranging from dark shadows to bright or soft colors. If they do a season 2 I will love to see more cool concepts. My Episode ranking: 1. The duel 2. The Elder 3. Akakiri 4. Lop and ocho 5. The ninth Jedi 6. To-B1 7. The twins 8. The village Bride 9. Tatoonie Rhapsody

📣 Top user review: Other than the Duel these were childish animated episodes that can't even hold a light to Love Death and Robots in terms of scale and storytelling. Yes LD&R is an adult themed series of episodes, but when I heard the synopsis for VISIONS I was expecting Japanese CGI style anime geared towards teens and adults. I was definitely not expecting Pokémon style anime with childish themes. With the amount of capital Disney has you'd think they would give us an animated series with state of the art animation, but nope.

Gorgeously animated and wildly creative, Visions is an eclectic, but wholly enjoyable collection of Star Wars stories that breathe new life into the galaxy.

I really enjoyed Visions. Animation was really nice especially it being in so many different styles. I wish the stories were more fleshed out but with the runtime it’s to be expected that they were going to be to the point. Nice experiment and would honestly want longer segments or a show in this format.

I'd recommend you not binge all 9 episodes in a row. It becomes repetitive. You'll start seeing a lot of similarities among the episodes, and hearing "I've got a bad feeling about this" every episode doesn't help either.

It is an action-packed ride that puts a new spin on the franchise. Breathtaking animation with every episode with its own individual visual style, a star-studded voice cast deserves high praise. Even as a non-anime fan, I loved the visuals in most of the episodes. I found some episodes to be really amazing, but there were a few that left me puzzled. I felt indifferent to them and moved on to the next one. Some of them get really weird with different Star Wars elements, but that's fine. It's non-canon; I liked that they had complete freedom and were allowed to go nuts with it.

Season 1 (6/10): Well, this happened. This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to rate in all of Star Wars because each of the 9 episodes were so vastly different (both in content and quality). No matter what, the animation for each episode was beautiful. There were so many times where I found myself unable to care about the characters because we saw them on screen for such a short time. They could’ve done so much more for this series and each story presented in it; like expanding each story and dedicating a limited series for each story.
