Midnight Mass!!! This series was not my kind of genre. I mean the whole series is based on Christianity, which I don't know nothing. I have zero knowledge on Christianity, Jesus, The Bible and their culture. I didn't understand sometimes that why they were doing this. The series have 7 episodes. Literally, theses are so lengthy, 1 hour + every episodes. But but but this series is awesome in its way. By the way this series is not for everyone. That's it.

Unpopular opinion. I’m surprised by all the rave reviews. Warning: It’s a RELIGIOUS show and not a HORROR show. I was not scared at all. Just felt I was at church because of all readings and quotes from the Bible ALL THE TIME. No problem with that except that wrong expectations are being set. It’s SO SLOW, def not worth a watch

This falls in between a 9 and 10 rating. Thoroughly enjoyed this show and the acting was a 10/10. The only reason I felt it wasn’t quite worthy of a 10 is because when I compare it to the haunting of hill house (10/10) I don’t feel it’s equally as good. It’s not that it’s not as good it’s more that I didn’t connect to it as much personally, although I did feel that important lessons were learned (regardless of if your religious or not).

Never doubt Mike Flanagan! This is what I will tell you before you decide to watch this show! That man is a genius! Anything he touches turns to gold!!! There are moments where I felt like maybe it was slow, but trust me when I tell you that you need to be patient with it. By episode 3 it will pick up so fast you’ ll be asking for more!!! This show is a revelation! So so many lessons to be learnt, only and only if you are patient!!! Only 7 episodes, yet it only gets better and better with each one of them. This show is not for everyone! Only a select souls will truly comprehend the meaning behind what Mike was tryna say. This is an eye opener, a deep look at truth, the real and ultimate truth. And if you ever feared death, knw that this fear will be gone when you are done with this show!

📣 Top user review: Really liked how the story is built up, slow burn and carefully dosed details... meanwhile the characters are also developing. I was happy to see familiar faces from Hill House and Bly Manor and Hamish Linklater was stellar in the role of the priest. Flanagan did it again, added an interesting twist to the horror genre and an awful lot to think about - such as what happens to us when and after we die? Looking forward to his future works.

More like Midnight Monologues... SO many monologues. Slow pace but worth it for the gore-fest. The acting is sublime and this limited series, although very different to Flanagan's previous work, was gripping and suspenseful in its own way. Even if some of the ramblings were a bit tedious, it's definitely worth a watch if you're willing to wait for your scares!

Was excited to see this hoping for some horror. It's very slow moving, lot of dull dialogue, the horror and mystery elements of the story is often obscured by just very boring scenes. Feels like it was made in the early 2000s and forgotten about (because it's so dull). Really hard to get through.

An ambitious meditation on grief and faith that is as gorgeous as it is unsettling, Midnight Mass's slow boil is a triumph of terror that will leave viewers shaking - and thinking - long after the credits roll.

Great series, does get slow sometimes in between, will remind you a lot of Stephen King's Salem's Lot, but then again, the story does have it's own individuality. Push through the slow bits and you'll be enjoying this one. It's not exactly scary, but does have some jump scare scenes. Recommended

On isolated Crockett Island, the arrival of Father Paul (Hamish Linklater) seems to bring forth mysterious miracles in this limited series from Mike Flanagan.

Mike Flanagan has done it again. Compelling with plenty of food for thought.
